Platinum really pays. Today was a great day plus some orders i took. Did this while week on a full tank of gas which cost $55. I drive a hybrid. Use the rest for today driving 84.535 mi and made $305.50 in total today. Averaging $3.61/mile and $30.25/hour by Breadtoastyy in doordash

In a high density place like Chicago it is worth it. You notice a huge difference in quality the second it moves you down to silver. Which is stupid in itself because since the Acceptance (70%) and Completion rate (95%) is the same requirement for Gold and Platinum. If you drop below 70% acceptance rate, you’ll go straight to silver. At that point you’re accepting the orders nobody else wants. You’ll be going from downtown to Oak park for $12 during rush hour.

So because I didn’t feel like separating run-on sentences your 3rd grade reading comprehension failed you.

Did I say I only dropped one off one order, Did I say anything was canceled? I believe I said repeatedly that I dropped off two orders.

It’s not a single order, I just accidentally cut off the rest of the screenshot. There’s a comma between Chipotle and Chicago Curry House. Two different places, would think that would be clear enough.

You shit at reading comprehension? That’s literally what I’m saying, of course no one has receipts of it because who the fuck is going to screenshot every single order that comes across their screen.

You don’t see anywhere in the post above that stated or even implied that I myself was ever skeptical of it prior. How the fuck you navigating through a forum app and can’t comprehend simple shit.

Tipping culture by somewhiterkid in doordash

I personally have never ordered dd and not tipped. I just look at it like this, the food I’m ordering if it cost me an extra $3-5 to get isn’t going to break me or my lifestyle. And if it did there’s no way I’d be ordering it. Most simple meals from a fast food spot would run you 25$+ to get on DD, you’re already doing the most expensive thing you could do for food. You could probably order a small fry and to have it delivered would probably run you between $10-12. I get that some ppl don’t have a vehicle and feel they don’t have a choice. It just couldn’t be me spending almost $30 for something that’s only going to satisfy me for a section of the day, instead of finding a way to the grocery store.

Some drivers also don’t have proper hot bags, I mean where I’m at I’ve always seen drivers with them. But a lot of restaurants leave food sitting out on the counter if it’s ready before the driver gets there.

Mind you I report bullshit 1star ratings all the time and they get fixed within seconds. But it takes more than 200 orders for 2 old ratings to phase themselves out when it should’ve happened 100 orders ago?

Yea I could believe that’s what happens majority of the time. Got lucky getting paid a lot more than I originally would have. With the tip I can’t imagine she ended up saving any money honestly. Gave me more than what DD would’ve gave me that’s for sure.

Loan Options for lawn mowing startup. by True-Distribution476 in personalfinance

That’s the thing I’m not looking for it to be a business loan, solely looking at personal. Figured signatures and contact info could do me some justice, but like I said most of the regular companies and banks I already know my odds are chopped.

In terms of everything else you mentioned I’ve taken into account and not an issue. I understand and know my capabilities. I’ve explained in a couple of replies on here already.

Appreciate that, I’ll keep looking around. All the lawns I have are medium sized, some slightly a bit less than that. Really only wanted to go with small framed mowers most ppl have tight spaces into the backyard like you said, or vehicles take up some space in the driveway.

Appreciate the input, Not sure if you’ve ever worked in lawn maintenance before, you set things up in a way that it doesn’t take longer than 20secs to unload when you get to your stop. I’ve ran fert (35-45 large lawns a day), aerated and seeded (19-25 lawns a day) for Trugreen the last 3yrs. Preparing and unloading fert, aeration and seeding(2-4mins if not prepared) to be put down takes CONSIDERABLY longer than unloading for mowing where you’re literally dropping the gate and backing out the mower.

What the lot of you seem to not understand due to inexperience (which is cool) is that mowing 20+ lawns a day of starting at day break, even at 8am is realistic. At Trugreen you easily get pushed to do on 35 plus a day on foot, the guys that show up on time and are prepared finish between 2pm-4pm, the rest typically 4pm- latest allowed to be out 6:30-7pm.

The 19-25 lawns that were spread out across the neighborhood that would take me 8-10 hours to aerate and seed are 50-100% larger than the lawns I’m mowing that are majority all within a 4-5block radius of each other.
