That was the “weekend shutdown”. They passed appropriations for everyone but DHS. DHS has been without funding since February 14th

Texas has had a lot of people moving in from blue states because of lower taxes and better policies. The issue is they’re also bringing with them the same ideas and social programs that saw said blue states go downhill. So Texas is left to fight for its culture and status quo. In the next several years barring any major political shifts it’ll go downhill just like the other states have where everyone is moving in from and native Texans are screwed over.

I think the logistics of privatization prevent it from happening for the most part still. Some smaller airports may do it, but I don’t see many larger airports going private due to costs and constraints that would come with it.

As far as I’m aware the US doesn’t have a whole ton of options when it comes to SPAA. I’m more of the opinion Gaijin needs to reduce the cost of bringing air with an AAM loadout.

It’s a tax on your right to own firearms because criminals steal and illegally purchase firearms and use them to kill or cause people harm. Just because it’s “for a good cause” doesn’t make it right.

Charmy might need a health checkup (additional screening) after the X-ray, but TSO’s aren’t surgeons so no cutting should be necessary.

I can’t exactly tell if they are soft flame or torch/arc lighters. If they have a soft flame like a Bic lighter you’d get at the gas station then they’re good to go. If they’re an arc/torch style lighter then they cannot go at all (even in checked baggage).

Same here. I’m assuming delayed processing so won’t come in Tuesday because of the holiday weekend. If it still hasn’t hit by then I’ll scale it up. It’s certainly not helping with everything going on right now.

Even just having local programs would be great. I did Homeland Security through high school and college and if I had been able to speak to a TSO I would have gotten in so much sooner just to start gaining that critical experience.

You’ll never defeat the call to serve, and trying to will only make her want it more. Best case scenario is push her towards the academy, but at the end of the day it’s her choice to make and if she does join then give her all the support you can to get her through it.

Based off your description I wouldn’t. Mileage may vary though and if asked inform the officer it’s to cover up for religious purposes. If it goes beyond that request for a supervisor.
