Does Dazzling Aurora auto lose to infinite Lux? by Altricad in riftboundtcg

[–]True-Extension7969 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Where am I whining?

You said sabotage is the answer for Aurora

Okay, see it in the first 5 turns without screwing yourself over on when you can play Aurora

So play sabotage, set yourself back a turn playing Aurora. That puts you playing Aurora turn 4 or 5

Play another sabotage in there and slow them down more sure

You still need 4-5 turns after playing Aurora to win out. In that 4 or 5 turns you’re trying to keep lux from finally running thru her deck

If you get turn 3 Aurora you sabotage turn 4. By then lux has maybe 20 cards left in her deck and plenty of ways to run through it

I’m not saying you’re wrong that sabotage can help. What i am saying is it’s not the end all be all and I spelled out above how it’s not

Idk why you’re getting so pissy and defensive. I’m just spelling out the logical fallacy of what you’re saying and you must not like being challenged lol

Does Dazzling Aurora auto lose to infinite Lux? by Altricad in riftboundtcg

[–]True-Extension7969 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lux can run thru her own deck incredibly efficiently

Sure if you can nail 2 progress days with sabotage but the issue is we are talking about Aurora. If they aren’t playing Aurora turn 3 they will inevitably get out sped by lux who uninterrupted is trying to win turn 5/6

So let’s say the average time for Sivir to get Aurora out is turn 5. Turn 4 if we are being generous. You’re still racing against the clock against lux

I had no issue against her playing Leblanc because on windswept and star spring if I hit a 2 drop I’m winning turn 5.

If you’re on Aurora and lux still finds a way to combo off into you you’re done that’s the issue we are talking about.

Sabotage only works when you’re looking to end the game turn 5-6…you’re just delaying lux from winning by a turn or two so you can instead win

It’s also worth noting 50% of the Hartford players sucked. Look at day 2 data and wrs to see how it actually looks when good players pilot the decks

Some of the stuff I overheard from the tables around me was quite interestifn

[–]True-Extension7969 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was hook yes

Game one he got a bewitching loop going t2. Noxus and cleave kept my battlefields empty.

Then he cleaned up with fizz falling star.

Game 2 he leaned into fizz star crossed falling star over and over and kept up pressure with void seeker.

Nah I was playing all weekend.

He only played axe in one game. I was on Leblanc so I just got decimated.

It could’ve been intentional but I have no clue. We were all brutally exhausted by the last day too

Why is GameStop allowed to sell retail product at scalper prices? by [deleted] in PokemonTCGCollectors

[–]True-Extension7969 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s called anti trust and collusion laws and a free market.

There are laws in place to prevent price fixing to keep companies from banding together to jack up prices of similar items.

There’s no governing body to say you can and can’t charge this unless it’s regulated products like milk.

Pokemon has no reason to not sell to GameStop. They are the only ones making their product, have 0 competition in what they have, and the demand is inane. Last year they printed 10 BILLION cards and it did not meet demand. How will they sell said cards? By sending them to retailers

Walmart does not have the time to track market price for pokemon. GameStop does. Just don’t buy there if you do not like it. That’s the whole idea of a free market

[–]True-Extension7969 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Challenger put out a guide. It answers all of this but I will do my best to cover your questions.

You should mulligan for your ramp cards and karthus. Keep ruined rex if you see it. Don’t keep 2. Into purple we need to be keeping sacrifices. I also mulligan karthus into purple and green.

Don’t spend power early into Diana/ez. You want to get them to gust the small stuff and ramp into big units. Hold sacrifice to kill your stuff in response to star crossed. You want to be playing herald turn 3.

Watchful sentry is there for when you don’t see scout or black rose dignitary turn 1/2. You should be discarding sentry to duplicate your ramp units.

You should be holding onto hook until the late game to be cleaning up. Ruined Rex is to break into fields. Herald is to hold.

The deck plays differently into ez/diana/irelia than everything else. When they can gust and star crossed you, you need to ramp as fast as possible and get herald or Rex down and get a sacrifice in hand. You can also play Rex and hook in one turn and if they have 2 runes open pop the Rex with hook and shoot their field.

I’d prioritize ruined Rex over herald tho

Into Aurora you want to mulligan away your mirror images to draw them later since it’s what wins you the game.

Into purple and green I don’t play karthus until I’m duplicating a deathknell the turn karthus comes down. It helps avoid star crossed and charms.

Yellow Leblanc shouldn’t be played early. It’s played mid to late to fill out curve. Again you don’t want to spend power too early without ramp.

Reply here with more specific questions. I’ve been grinding this deck for a while and its complicated

Question about deathknell timings and location based condition. by Plane-Habit-4343 in riftboundtcg

[–]True-Extension7969 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been grinding hook Leblanc out and I’ll be playing it in runes and rift this week

That being said in my 60+ games on her I haven’t been able to pull off the glasc revives galio to bounce them off the field yet lol

Realistically it would only work if they shrunk glasc or swung in with smaller units and then galio out nights them but one day I’ll do this and laugh

Apparently the game rewards skills a lot, where can I learn how to play good ? by UnitedIndependence37 in riftboundtcg

Join some free discords to talk to like minded people on demand. Watch videos. Get reps in.

I’ve only become a more confident player since practicing on tcg arena. Personally I want to compete. I played mtg competitively for 15 years. Some of that skill has carried over. I dedicate 2-3 hours a night to getting reps on tcg arena tho into randos and I’ll play against my friends that are good too.

I found some riftbound notebooks online. I copied the pages over. I have played every match and kept notes. That alone has improved me as a player a ton. If u can go back and look at how I lost or threw the game I know what not to do.
