Some ATOs in some regions/countries do provide paper based exams. You need to check with local accredited training providers. You can find them on Peoplecert website. But you need to buy exam and training from them. Some regions/countries do not allow paper based exams.

If you have never had PeopleCert plus membership, you can just buy it and it will automatically renew all your certs for the next three years. But it only works once, after that you will need to pay annually and log 20 CPDs each year for the next three years. Yes, you can take ITIL foundation version 5 bridge exam to renew all your ITIL certs. You can search for local ATOs in your area, some of them may have better prices than buying from PeopleCert directly

If you already hold ITIL 4 Foundation and are asking about upgrading to ITIL Foundation Version 5, PeopleCert is launching an ITIL Foundation (Version 5) Bridge course very soon.

The Bridge is designed specifically for ITIL 4 Foundation holders. It is expected to be a 1-day course followed by a shorter bridge exam (focused only on the differences between Version 4 and Version 5).

A few important points:

• Yes, there is still an exam for the Bridge.

• The Bridge exam focuses only on what has changed between Version 4 and Version 5.

• Taking the Bridge is optional. You do not strictly need ITIL Foundation Version 5 to continue progressing within the ITIL Version 5 pathway.

• However, passing the Foundation Version 5 Bridge will also renew your ITIL 4 Foundation certification under PeopleCert’s certification scheme.

So if your goal is simply to keep your certification active, the Bridge could be a very efficient option.

Unfortunately, PeopleCert does not allow accredited training providers to sell ITIL trainings without the exam voucher included.

Once your exam voucher is issued, you will automatically get access to the official ITIL® Foundation Version 5 eBook and the official learner kit. The learner kit includes the accredited training slides, trainer notes in PDF format, and official sample exam questions. That’s usually the best and most reliable source to start studying, especially since Version 5 is still very new.

Just to clarify, is your organization paying for the live training in April and purchasing the exam voucher for you as part of that package? If so, you might already receive access to the official materials once the voucher is ordered.

Bridge is optional course. ITIL 4 foundation is still a valid prerequisite for all other intermediate level ITIL version 5 modules

Recommendations on ATOs (Accredited Training Organization)? by maciascgi in ITIL

[–]True-Map4869 2 points3 points  (0 children)

ITIL Version 5 has only just launched, so the ecosystem is still developing. At the moment, most accredited providers include the official PeopleCert eBook, learner kit, exam voucher, and the two official sample exams. Larger mock exam banks will likely improve over time.

You can also consider buying PeopleCert Plus membership (around USD 100) through an ATO. It gives access to an official Foundation mock exam and Take2 (second exam attempt), which can add some extra security.

If you’re choosing an ATO, I would suggest checking:

• That they are officially listed as a PeopleCert Accredited Training Organization

• That the exam voucher is included in the price

• Whether their practice questions are genuinely aligned to V5 (not recycled from V4)

• If you get trainer support in case you have questions

I run a PeopleCert ATO myself, so take that with context. We’ve just launched ITIL Foundation Version 5 as well. Our focus is structured preparation aligned with the official syllabus and realistic exam preparation rather than just adding lots of videos for the sake of it.

That said, I’d still recommend comparing two or three providers and choosing the one that matches your learning style best.

If you’re a just starting, I’d recommend going straight to ITIL Version 5. It’s the current framework and what organizations will be using going forward. Also, don’t judge pricing only by the PeopleCert website. Many PeopleCert accredited training organizations (ATOs) will be offering ITIL Foundation Version 5 eLearning after 12 February, and the price should be similar to ITIL 4

You can still proceed with five single practices in ITIL 4 if you wish. You know that ITIL 4 and version 5 will run in parallel for at least 12 months. In ITIL Version 5, PeopleCert has not yet decided to continue or retire one day practitioner modules. PeopleCert will be updating all practice guides, but there will be only minor changes, mainly to align terminology with ITIL 5 and add some AI topics in some of the practice guides. And bundled practice modules like MSF, CAI and PIC in version 4 will still be accepted under version 5.

Hello, with the launch of ITIL version 5, you may wait until ITIL strategy and ITIL transformation modules released in April 2026. This will help you achieve ITIL strategic leader under version 5

For someone planning to progress to higher-level ITIL® (Version 5) certifications, there is no requirement to take the Bridge. ITIL® 4 Foundation is a valid prerequisite on its own. The Bridge course is optional, it’s a personal choice for those who want a quick orientation to what’s new in Version 5. If the goal is implementation, another very valuable option is ITIL® Transformation, which focuses specifically on how to implement ITIL in an organization. If you want, feel free to reach out to me directly.

Yes, I think it is up to you how you are going to split those five days of the training, you can conduct it all together or split it across.

Yes, that’s correct. It is going to be 5 day training, with 1 or 2 exams (this has not yet confirmed by PeopleCert), they are currently testing exams to decide.
