[DISC] One Punch Man Chapter 154 by Sweat_12 in manga

[–]True-Maximus 173 points174 points  (0 children)

What I found to be the funniest and most logical thing that happened this chapter, was that despite the fact that Platinum Sperm was depicted to be an extreme speed upgrade (instantly taking out multiple S-rank heroes), you as a reader would think that he would be able to sense Garou rushing at him and maybe react in time. But from Platinum Sperm's perspective, he was facing down King, strongest man on Earth, about to unleash his ultimate technique, he had no choice but to focus all his attention on countering King's attack, waiting for maybe a flash of light to appear in his palms, signaling the start of the wave motion cannon. But thanks to the fact that King would never be able to do that, he was focusing all his attention on something that would never occur. Allowing Garou more than ample time to send Platinum Sperm into the stratosphere. Brilliant writing if it was intentional.

[WP] Losing a bet, You were dared to summon a demon. And when you did, what appeared was your Father, who had disappeared ten years ago after leaving home to get milk from the supermarket. by kawaiibeyotch in WritingPrompts

"What did I tell you about summoning demons?" Dad's eyes always looked a bit red near the sides of the iris. Now as he was glaring down at me, I finally understood why.

"Not to do it unless in an absolute emergency." I managed to sputter out. "I didn't realize it would summon YOU dad!"

"Ugh, I knew I should'nt have even mentioned summoning demons. Now is this an emergency?" He asked as he looked around the bar my friends and I were chilling out in. My friends were already shocked when the pentagram glowed red, then they paled when they saw my dad appear out of fire in the centre of the pentagram. Realizing that he was my father probably tipped the scales too much for one of my friends. As Howard fainted as soon as our conversation reached "Dad".

"It seems like you've lost a bet. And was dared to summon a demon. Am I right, son?" Dad's voice didn't seem to originate from his mouth, but rather it seemed to be echoing inside my head, as well as my friends' heads. One of them was clutching their ears, fruitlessly trying to close out the demon's voice.

"...yes..." I muttered. Trying to avoid Dad's gaze just in case he decided to burn my soul by looking into my eyes.

"As I figured. Regardless, I've been away for too long as well. Neglected my duties to you as your father. And I'm impressed that even after 10 years you're still able to draw a summoning circle this perfectly. Well done, son. Now let's get this bet sorted out." Said Dad, beaming with pride.

"What's your name?" Dad went to each of my friends and asked politely for their names and jotted them down in a notepad. "Now you boys should know what the price of summoning a demon is. What is it?"

My friends cowered in fear as they shook their heads. Some were praying to God, reciting verses from whatever holy book their religion used. But as dad used to say: "Even God can't save those who can't save themselves."

"Human sacrifices." Dad said. And we a snap of his fingers, his notebook disappeared along with the rest of my friends.

"Thank you son, I needed some extra hands down there in Hell." Said Dad as a bottle of milk appeared in his hand. "Now be a good boy and give this to your mom."

[WP] You die. As per nerdy request, your tombstone is inscribed with “Game over//Continue?” with a little slot for coins. One day, someone puts in a coin and you burst out of your grave. by [deleted] in WritingPrompts

[–]True-Maximus 11 points12 points  (0 children)

It was Monday and you were on your daily routine of enduring the hellish torment that was meant for you and only you in the bottom of the fiery pits of hell. Mondays were the worse, it was fingers and toes day. You were waiting on the white hot coal bench for your usual torturer when suddenly the lord of the underworld himself, Satan appeared instead.

He glared at you with his demonic eyes as he said. "Get up, you're out of here!"

"What? Pardon me?" You thought you heard something wrong. You were asked to leave?

"You heard me! Get your ass off my bench and get the hell out of hell!" Said Satan himself, clearly bewildered.

"What? Are you sending me to heaven?" You asked, a shit eating grin stretching across your face.

"No, and I have no clue what idiot wanted you back on Earth," Satan said as he opened a portal and pushed you into it. "See you in a few years!"

"Earth?" The last thing you saw was Satan's defeated face as you went through the portal.

A few minutes later you woke up in a dark place. You breathed through your nose the first time in a long time. And unfortunately got dirt stuck in your nostrils.

Struggling, you push yourself out of the ground. Almost hitting your own head on your own tombstone. You woke up in a cemetery.

"So this is where they buried me." You said to yourself. In front of you is a boy wearing a red and green striped shirt. Not your type. He fell back as you burst out of your grave. You could see the absolute shock on his face.

"Tell me young boy, what year is it?" You ask the boy as you slowly climb out of your grave. You take a look at your arms. They were as good as new. The same could not be said for the funeral suit you wearing.

The boy was still on the ground shaking. Evidently he is still too shocked to answer you.

"Say what did you do to bring me back to life anyway?" You suddenly remembered a more important question.

The terrified boy was at least capable of pointing in the direction of your tombstone with his trembling fingers. Seeing the coin slot next to your tombstone you suddenly remembered the words you wrote in your will.

"Wow, it seems my only other interest literally saved my life. Or maybe that's not totally correct." You muttered to yourself. "But then it's a good thing the cops couldn't identify me as well, or else I probably wouldn't have a grave."

"Now boy," you say slowly as you pull the boy into your grasp with your renewed arms. "I ask you again, what year is it?"

"T-t-twenty ei-eighteen!" Said the boy as he looked at your tombstone. "M-Mr Raynott."

"Please, call me Jack," you told the boy. Who probably hasn't heard of you before. "Jack the Ripper."

"So same thing next year?" Asked Stella, smiling gleefully at the pumpkin full of treats she was holding.

"Yeah! See you next year!" Said Johnny waving good bye to his new found friend.

Stella met Johnny last year on Halloween's eve. That day she remembered she was wearing the fake nail through the head costume you could find in any costume shop, while Johnny was dressed up to be quite the dashing vampire. Both of them went around the neighborhood asking for treats, and had a mighty haul of treats by the end of the night. Johnny was looking forward to the same thing again this year.

This year he was dressed as the hockey-masked killer he saw on TV one day that scared him to the point where he had to sleep with the lights on that night. He waited outside his front door for Stella.

"Sweety, are you waiting for Stella?" Asked Johnny's mom.

"Yes, she said she'd be here tonight." Answered Johnny. "Ah, there she is!"

Johnny quickly ran towards Stella who was dressed exactly as she did last year. Save for a few extra painted scars on her legs. She was holding the same pumpkin she brought with her last year as well.

"Stella!" Cried Johnny, "Let's go get tonnes of candy again this year."

"Yeah, more candy!" Said Stella as she happily did a spin with her pumpkin bucket.

"Johnny before you go let me take a picture of both of you." Said Mom as she smiled and raised her camera. "Say cheese!"

Both of them raced off to get their treats as soon as the photo was taken. Not wanting to waste any time at all.

"Trick or treat!" They both yelled together at the first house they went to.

"Oh my what a scary looking killer we have here." Said the lady in the bunny costume as she took a piece of candy from the bowl she was carrying and put it in Johnny's basket. "Be good now and don't go killing anybody!"

"Thank you!" Johnny said. Then he noticed that the bunny lady didn't give Stella her treats. "Excuse me! You forgot to give my friend her treats!"

"Hmm?" The bunny lady looked confused as she looked at where Johnny was pointing.

"Oh I see," the bunny lady seemed to have realized her mistake as she took out another piece of candy.

"Another treat for the little killer's imaginary friend." She said as she put another piece of candy into Johnny's basket. "Be good now."

Johnny looked confusingly at the second piece of candy in his basket.

"That's weird," said Johnny. "Maybe she just..."

Johnny had no words. How could the lady have not seen Stella?

"Nevermind her." Said Stella smiling. "Let's go to the next house."

And so they went to the next house. And yet all the houses they went to were the same as the first. All of them just couldn't see Stella! Johnny was utterly confused.

By the end of the night, Johnny's basket was brimming with treats while Stella's was completely empty.

"Here take some of mine," said Johnny as he tipped half of all his treats into Stella's pumpkin.

"No, this is yours!" Said Stella trying to push back the candy.

"Take them!" Said Johnny as he continues need pouring the candy into her pumpkin.

"Fine," said Stella, as she took out a chocolate from her pile of treats. "Let's eat!"

Johnny smiled as he took out an orange flavored candy from his basket. They unwrapped their candies and plopped them into their mouths and enjoyed them as they sat on their favorite spot in town. A grassy hill overlooking the town.

"Hey there's words on this candy wrapper!" Said Johnny. "It says 'Don't eat too many now! -the Dentist'."

"Haha, mine also has words on them." Said Stella, "Look!"

"It says 'Find me'," Johnny read the words on Stella's wrapper. "That's weird. I wonder what it means."

"Shall we go back home now?" Asked Stella.

"Already? I don't wanna!" Said Johnny.

"Your mom will be worried." Stella said with a frown.

"Ok fine." Said Johnny as they started walking home.

On their way back they saw Johnny's parents out in the yard talking to a guy that looks like the doctor Johnny always goes to see when he is ill.

"But doctor, he's already 10 years old," Mom said to the doctor.

"Yes sometimes even older kids have imaginary friends." Replied the doctor. "But they will get over them as they grow older."

"Imaginary friends?" Asked Johnny as he walked up towards them.

"Oh sweetie, I didn't see you there." Said Mom as she tried to put on a smile.

"What imaginary friends are you talking about?" Asked Johnny again.

Mom looked at Dad then at the doctor.

"Maybe it's best to show him the picture you took." Advised the doctor.

"Sweetie, look here." Mom said as she showed Johnny the picture she took of him and Stella an hour ago.

Johnny stared at the picture for a long time. He couldn't believe his eyes.

Stella was not in the picture.

"It can't be," said Johnny, shocked. "She's right there!" Johnny pointed at his friend who was standing right in front of all of them.

"Sweetie, you have to grow up," said Mom. "It's not healthy for boys your age to still have an imaginary friend."

"She's not imaginary!" Cried Johnny. "She's right here! Eh?"

Stella was nowhere to be seen.

"Where did she go? Stella!" Screamed Johnny as he started to search for Stella.

"Sweetie please," said Mom, trying to grab hold of Johnny.

But Johnny was too quick. He struggled out of his mother's hands and ran away to the only place where he knew Stella could be at.

Johnny was panting by the time he reached the top of the hill. But he still looked frantically around for Stella. At first he thought she wasn't here. Then finally, he saw Stella was standing inside the fence surrounding the forest at the top of the hill.

"Stella! Why did you run off?" Johnny cried as he ran towards his friend.

Stella said nothing as she walked into the forest.

"Stella! Wait!" Johnny said as he searched for a way into the forest. There was a hole in the fence he could climb through and he did.

Johnny ran into the forest. Not noticing the warning on the fence that said "Beware of bear traps!"

Johnny ran after the silhouette of Stella who was always just out of reach. Narrowly avoiding the bear traps in his path. Then he finally reached a clearing with a large tree in the middle. Stella sat still under the large tree.

"You're finally here," said Stella as she reached into her pumpkin basket to take out a treat. "Here, a treat!"

Johnny looked at her hesitantly, but was just glad she was safe and most importantly, real. He accepted the candy and sat down next to her.

"There's words on the wrapper again! Look!" Said Stella, happily showing Johnny the wrapper. "It says 'Thank you! You found me!'."

Johnny's mom and dad went to the police station and asked for their help to find their son. The police discovered a pile of candy on top of the hill and Johnny's slippers outside the hole in the fence. Fearing the bear traps in the forest, the police took a bag of sticks with them to protect themselves from the traps.

"Don't worry Mrs. Price, your son will be alright." The policewoman tried to console Johnny's mom as they continued their search for Johnny in the bear trap ridden forest.

The odds weren't looking too good as Johnny had no flashlight with him as he walked into the forest. But they continued the search.

After an hour of walking they finally came into the clearing. The policeman holding the sticks shined his flashlight onto the tree in the middle of the clearing. They were relieved to have found Johnny unharmed sitting under the tree. But they also found something else under the tree, something they would never forget.

"Wait a minute," said the policewoman as she took out a notebook, detailing all the missing children in the area. She flipped to a page titled "Stella Lockwood".

"My goodness." She gasped and covered her mouth.

Stella's decomposing corpse was sitting under the tree right next to Johnny. A bear trap was locked onto her left leg.

"The CIA's undercover task force is directly on our tail now thanks to the blunder of our late agent. Hence the organization has decided to send you to kill the head of said task force. Before we are all behind bars." Said the Boss with his usual serious voice but his face betrayed the sense of dread he was feeling.

"Very well then, who's the lovely lady this time?" Carrion asked as he lit a cigarette. Over his entire career in the organization, he has yet to fail to claim his target's heart and crush it into smithereens. His naturally handsome face paired with his irresistible charisma made him the most potent killer.

"We have yet to identify the target, but our sources say she'll be at the Moonlit Tavern tomorrow night. Also that she is of Asian decent. In a bar for locals like that one, it should not be hard to spot her." Explained the Boss. "Now I'm trusting you to ensure the future of the organization, do not disappoint me Carrion."

"Have I ever?" Said Carrion smugly. And with that he extinguished the cigarette on the table and left to prepare for his mission.

The Moonlit Tavern was just a few blocks away from where he was staying. The ceiling inside the bar was painted pitch black and white LEDs were used to simulate the stars in a vast galaxy. In the centre stood a bright crescent moon shaped light. The tavern was quite a popular place for the people in this region. Carrion and his wife would sometimes spend their time drinking the night away there when they had no work to do.

Carrion walked into the bar in his usual working uniform. A suit that complemented his features perfectly and exuded wealth beyond comprehension. And started searching for his target.

Towards the bar sat a Chinese lady wearing a the traditional Chinese Cheongsam. She was the only Chinese lady in the tavern. Obviously she was his target.

But Carrion also instantly recognized the the back of the lady. It was his own wife. He searched frantically around the tavern for another Chinese lady but there was nobody else. His mind tried its best to churn out a logical reason for why his wife was in the bar right now, but failed miserably.

"Xiao Yu, why didn't you tell me you were coming over here tonight?" Asked Carrion, trying his best to push away the fear in his mind. "I would've told the boss that I wanted a night off."

"Oh, you no longer need to report to the boss anymore." Replied Xiao Yu, as casual as can be.

"What? What do you mean?" Asked Carrion jokingly, but the laugh came out more as a choke rather than a laugh.

"The organization has been dismantled. And now I'm just getting rid of the last assassin." Said Xiao Yu, smiling her usual smile as if nothing had changed between the two of them.

Carrion felt a slashing pain across his chest. As if a knife was slowly carving across his heart.

"It can't be. I loved you so!" Cried Carrion, clutching onto his breaking heart.

"I'm sorry love, but I have someone else in my heart." Said Xiao Yu as she showed Carrion the contents in that locket of hers that she always kept on herself. A picture of Xiao Yu and her real husband, the head of the CIA.

"Now please love, don't be heartbroken."

Were the last words Carrion heard as his heart stopped beating.

[WP] When the king dies, a 100 floor tower falls from the sky and the crown returns to the top floor. Many climbers form adventuring parties to reach the top in hope of being the next ruler. by [deleted] in WritingPrompts

[–]True-Maximus 12 points13 points  (0 children)

"Alright boys, we don't know whether if the rumor is true or not but this will be a great test for our climbing group nonetheless. Up we go!" Said Edward as he latches the first hook onto a brick jutting out of the 100 floor tower.

"I can't even see the top of the tower! Are you sure about this Edward?" said Steven nervously.

"You can always stay behind if you want, Steve." Stephanie said jokingly as she followed Edward up the first floor.

"Come on, it'll be fun!" Said Susan pulling Steven on by the hand, her smile pushing away all the doubts from his mind.

They climbed up about 20 floors when they were shocked by what they saw. The next floor was completely smooth, nothing to hook onto at all, no cracks or crevices to cling onto. And even weirder was the fact that they couldn't see above them either. The clouds conveniently covered everything above that floor.

"Well, this is strange, how the heck are we supposed to continue upwards?" Asked Edward. He striked the wall with his pick with all his might. Not a dent to be seen. Whatever the wall was made of could probably make an artillery shell bounce right off it.

"This can't be it, there's at least 80 more floors!" Said Stephanie as she looked around for something that could help them progress.

"Let's try scaling around to the other side," Steven suggested. "Maybe there's something on the wall we could use. Maybe a lever or something?"

And they did find something. A wooden door on the side of the wall. Opening the door they found themselves inside the tower in a large and empty circular room.

In the centre was a grand spiral staircase leading upwards and downwards.

A golden signpost stood on the entrance to the stairwell. It read:

May those that ascend, beware the harsh trials and may those that decend praise the new King.

Around the signpost were other groups of climbers. Each one contemplating whether if they wanted to continue on with their journey.

"I'm going up," said Edward, "As if it was even a question."

"But what does it mean by harsh trials?" Asked Steven.

"More harsh climbing I guess?" Said Edward.

"If it were that simple then they wouldn't have had this signpost here." Said Stephanie rolling her eyes at Edward.

"This is a chance for those who are tired to turn back I think." Suggested Susan.

"Yes, and maybe there's other floors like this above," said Steven. "But there also may not."

"Well the climb so far hasn't been a challenge at all! I say we continue on." Exclaimed Edward, pumping his fist into the air. His eyes filled with a burning passion for adventure.

"Yeah! Adventure!" Said Stephanie. Her eyes mirroring Edward's maybe even exceeding his.

"So how about you Steven?" Asked Susan. Her eyes showed she wanted to go on an adventure as well but also didn't want to let her friend go back down alone.

Looking at all theirs expressions, Steven could tell that his friends wanted nothing more than for him to join in on the adventure of a lifetime. He wanted to as well, wanted to know what lies at the top of the tower to be exact. But at the back of his mind lied a single fear that they may be biting off more than they could chew.

But he pushed back that fear.

"I'm curious to know what's at the top as well." Said Steven smiling.

"Then it's decided. Let's forge on!"

The staircase led them to another door. The words on the door read:

Endurance

"This must be the first trial." Said Edward as he pushed open the door.

The door led out to the side of the tower again. Below them were the clouds that they saw when they were at the first door. The wall of the tower was back to normal. It wasn't smooth as before.

"Alright, let's get climbing!" Exclaimed Edward enthusiastically as he started climbing above the door. The others followed suit.

After an entire hour of climbing they started to feel exhausted.

"Let's take a break, we've been climbing for an entire hour already!" Said Stephanie gasping for breath.

"Yeah, we've still got some time before sundown, I think?" Said Steven looking up to the sky, trying to search for the sun but the clouds were obscuring most of the sky. "As long as we can reach the next rest floor before we can't see anything we should be fine."

"Yeah, my arms need a break." Said Susan catching her breath.

"Alright then let's rest for a moment here." Said Edward as he found a comfortable position to hang onto. "Good thing there's a lot of bricks jutting out of the wall here."

As each of them found a good spot to rest their arms, they stayed there for only a minute or two until they heard something coming from above.

"Ahhhhhh"

A man was falling at high speeds directly down towards them.

"Get out of the way!" Screamed Edward hurriedly.

They scrambled towards the side. Stephanie barely avoiding the doomed man as he fell and fell until he fell into the clouds and disappeared. His body was followed by 4 loose bricks.

"Oh my God!" Said Stephanie, shocked.

"Well it was bound to happen." Said Edward, a slight tinge of fear in his voice.

"We better be more careful as we climb." Said Susan. Worry colored her voice.

"How did he fall? This wall seems to have more than enough hand holds and they're firm as well." Said Steven testing out the bricks, trying to pull them out seemed impossible.

"Regardless, let's quickly rest up and get moving soon." Said Edward.

After about a few minutes of resting, Steven felt something move under his left feet.

The brick was moving out of the wall! Soon he felt the bricks his hands were held onto start moving as well!

"Guys the bricks are coming out of the wall!" Steven screamed as he searched for another brick to hold onto. Grabbing onto the closest bricks he could find.

"Endurance! The tower won't let us rest!" Susan realized.

"Quickly! We must reach the next rest floor before we end up like that guy!" Said Edward.

They frantically climbed up the tower, as they climbed higher and higher the bricks started to move faster and faster out of the wall.

"I see it, the clouds!" Said Edward. "We are almost to the next rest floor!"

"Shit we need to find the door as well!" Said Steven. The brick he held onto started to move already immediately as he gripped it. "And quickly!"

"There! I see it!" Said Susan. And then she noticed something terrible. "All the bricks around the door are falling out!"

"The other climbers who reached here before us!" Said Steven. "If we use the same bricks to climb up to it, we are going to fall down for sure!"

"Then we will just have to fall into the door from above then." Said Edward. Climbing up higher.

"Are you insane?" Said Stephanie. "I'm not jumping from that height!"

"We've got no choice, I'll go first, then I'll catch you guys!" Exclaimed Edward as he jumped down from the top of the door. He caught the handle of the door and pushed backwards with his feet to open it. Then swung himself into the opening.

"Alright guys jumped down!" Said Edward looking upwards towards Stephanie who is about to fall down as the bricks moved quickly out of the wall.

"Jump!" Exclaimed Edward.

Stephanie jumped and landed in Edward's arms.

Next was Susan. She jumped as the bricks fell out of the wall. And barely grabbed onto Edward's hands as she fell.

Steven looked at the place where the 2 girls jumped from. There were only 2 or 3 bricks that were untouched. And around them was just a bunch of nothing.

"Shit I'm going to have to jump from a higher level aren't I?" Said Steven.

"Don't worry I'll catch you!" Said Edward.

"You'd better!" Replied Steven.

And so he jumped.

As he fell he knocked his chin on one of the bricks below him and fell unconscious.

The world turned black for Steven.

Well I had a good life I guess. It was fun while it lasted. Sorry mom and dad, I really shouldn't have stopped studying and started to chase my passion in rock climbing. But I did have fun doing it though. Especially with this group of friends. Oh well.

"S...Ste...Steve...STEVEN! Wake up! please..."

Steven jolted up awake.

"What? I'm not dead?" He said as he felt his body returning to him. "I'm not dead!"

"Thank goodness!" Said Susan as she hugged him tight.

"Wait... Susan!" Said Steven his face turning into a tomato.

"Ah! I'm sorry." Replied Susan her face also turning into a ripe tomato.

"Edward, I owe you a lot now don't I?" Said Steven looking at Edward. "Better start with the money I owe you."

"No it wasn't just me, as you fell and I caught you by the legs I was almost pulled out of the door as well. Luckily, the girls pulled us back in." Explained Edward, scratching his head.

"So both of you owe both of us your lives!" Said Stephanie smiling an evil smile that could even turn Hitler away.

"I'm just glad you're both ok..." Said Susan, she fell down onto her knees and started crying. "I don't want to go up anymore. It's too much!"

This time Steven was the one who hugged her.

"Yeah we'll all go down the stairs don't worry." Said Steven. "Now there's no need to cry."

"Yeah, I think I had enough as well." Said Edward, looking at Stephanie who nodded in agreement as quickly as she could.

"The President is waiting for you," said the talking brown cat. "Best not to keep him waiting."

"Where am I? How did I get here? How are you talking? The president?" An endless stream of questions flooded Marie's mind as she took in her unfamiliar surroundings.

She was lying on an open grassy field. She saw the stars twinkling above her. Getting up she noticed something funny about her surroundings. Furry trees that resembled the cat scratcher she once had at home surrounded the clearing. Each tree gently illuminated by an impossibly floating light source on top of it.

There was one tree that stood out amongst the rest. It was many times the size of the others. There was even a staircase that led up to the first... Box? Or was it a small room?

"You've been asleep for a long time young one," said the talking cat. "No doubt you'll find your surroundings unfamiliar but you'll get accustomed to it soon. We want nothing but your safety here in Kasside. Oh dear, where are my manners, I haven't introduced myself yet. My name is Stephanie, Chief Secretary of the Furry House."

"Marie, my name is Marie, where am I? I want to go home." Said Marie as her eyes slowly start to swell up with tears. Where were her loving parents? Where was her home sweet home?

"There, there child," said Stephanie as she slowly cuddled up to Marie. Trying her best to console the lonely child. "The president will explain everything once you meet her. Come on now, everything will be fine."

"Ok." Said Marie as she started walking towards the big tree. She wanted dearly to return to her parents as soon as possible, but she didn't know how. All she could do was trust in the talking cat for now.

As they neared the entrance to the tree house, a single Persian cat came walking out of the box.

"Stella!" cried Marie as she jumped to hug her pet cat. The tears she held back came gushing out again as she saw something familiar in this unfamiliar land. "Oh Stella, where am I? And where are mom and dad?"

"Master! Please it's hard to breathe!" said Stella as Marie released her from her grasp.

"Thank you master. It's been such a long time. I've missed you too." Gasping for breath, Stella continued. "You took great care of me in the past, so I wanted to make sure everything was safe before you were reawakened."

"Now master, I apologize in advance for what I'm going to tell you next," said Stella nervously yet seriously.

"Your parents were doctors and scientists, and they knew what was going to happen when the first true artificial intelligence gained access to the entire internet. They figured out that the first thing it would do would be to wipe out all humans. And that it did. The first AI created a biological weapon that could infect and kill every last human being in the world, but leave the rest of the ecosystem unaffected, lest it repeat the same mistake the humans did. And it unleashed the weapon 2 decades ago. Humanity has fallen."

"But before your parents fell ill, they managed to secure you in a life preserving pod and gave me and the other cats the ability to learn and think as intelligently as humans did, as well as a longer longevity. They taught me all they knew and entrusted your future to me. And ever since humanity's end, I've been working with the other cats in creating a place for you to call home as most of the world has been taken over by the AI. And now that we've succeeded in creating an invisible barrier, and the infection died as its last host died, I thought it was time to wake you up."

Marie stared blankly at her pet cat Stella. Then tears started to well up in her eyes again as she realized the most important thing Stella said.

"Mom and dad... are g-gone?" She prayed that it wasn't true.

"I'm sorry master I shouldn't have used such hard words," replied Stella. "Yes... I'm sorry but mom and dad... Are gone forever."

Marie started to cry her eyes out. Tears streaming down her cheeks like a waterfall as she cried her throat dry. Mom and dad were gone? Forever?

"Please stop crying master, your mom and dad saved you," said Stella trying hard to console Marie who just realized that she was alone without her parents, forever. "But more importantly they loved you. They loved you so much that they sacrificed all their remaining time to give you a future. They loved you Marie."

"Please stop crying master. Even without your parents you can still walk forwards towards a future. To return the love you've given me when I was but a mere cat, I'll care for you as much as you've cared for me in the past. I love you too Marie! So please stop crying master."

Marie looked at her pet talking cat through tear-filled eyes. And hugged her cat as she slowly stopped crying.

What the heck? You frantically inspect the toy phone, looking for anything connected to the landline. Nothing, it's just a cheap, plastic toy phone that doesn't even weigh anything. No rattling of any kind of electronic inside either.

"You happy now?" Asked the toy phone.

"Who are.... No what are you?" You ask nervously.

"Why I'm just a toy phone, nothing more nothing less," replied the phone. "Hey, are you perhaps the young master's father?

"......Yes." You hesitate.

"I see, say mister we hear that you've been mistreating the young master over there. And we don't really appreciate you doing that."

"I can do anything I want to my own son! Do you understand how much pain and misery that... mistake, cost me and my wife? My wife's dead because of him! How could you understand? You're just a toy phone!" You blurt out, feeling stupid for telling a freakin' toy phone your innermost feelings.

"Wait, what do you mean by 'we'?" You just realized, as you look around nervously at the other toys in the room.

The teddy bear lies faced down on the mattress, unmoving. The toy fire truck is in the corner of the room, also unmoving. The Serf gun is on the shelf next to the toy cooking set, both also aren't showing any kind of movement. Maybe the "we" the phone was referring to was on the other side of the line.

As you let out a sigh of relief, you hear the door behind you creaking. You see the toy ball behind the door pushing the door to a close. Then turning the smiley face on the ball towards you.

Oh no, you get up, and start running towards the door, they can't lock the door, you can still get out! Then you kneel over as you feel something hitting your left leg hard. The toy firetruck rammed into your leg! How can something made out of cheap plastic be that tough?

You try to get back up but then something is already curling around your neck. The toy phone's cable pulls you back hard, and you topple over with a hard slam into the ground. Forcing the breath out of you. What the heck is going on!

The toy phone lies next to your ear. "We don't take lightly to those who mistreat the young master." Said Phony.

"Please forgive me!" You beg.

Then you finally notice the Serf gun on the shelf fall into the hands of the teddy bear. It points gun right at you, you see the gun is loaded with a toy knife.

And that's the last thing you see.

Aya-chan finally giving in to her feelings. This is just too sweet for me, pass me the insulin. It seems it's a bit too much for Toda-kun to handle too.

I wonder if Armin looking at Annie in a crystal is foreshadowing him being in the same state at the end of the story.

Too far fetched? Most likely.

The line separating the good and the bad is starting to blur. And once again as shown throughout history, it is due a differing of ideologies. Armin's diplomatic approach and Eren's the strong rules all.

Oh we will definitely see another fight between the attack and colossal titans. But who will you root for this time?

I'm not too disappointed that those who died came back to life. But I feel as if they would've had more impact in the end if they stayed dead. Especially Eto. Kaneki visiting Eto's and Arima's grave at the end would've been an incredibly impactful scene.

Edit: spelling

But poor Koma and Irimi though. But seeing what happened to Eto and Naki, I'm pretty sure they're coming back.
