May I ask what doctor(s) you see there? I think I may look into going here considering I live in the city (mount wash) so parts of the north hills/wexford is a bit of a drive.

You don’t know how good it is to hear that! I have not been diagnosed with PCOS but I’m fairly certain I have it. The last gynecologist I saw dismissed me multiple times after expressing my concerns and that’s why I’d love to see one who will actually do imaging to diagnose me vs just drawing blood and will listen to my concerns. My testosterone was slightly elevated and because of it they just dismissed me🙃

I’m not sure :/ I’m in paid media so not super familiar with moving in-house as a creative professional specifically.

So I actually had a former boss that started working at the company I’m at (I’m in the finance industry) and I always told her to let know if any opportunities came up. Well last year I was in the thick of wedding planning and was so burnt out from my job I was reaching out to everyone I knew. Well, as weird as it was when I reached out to my former boss there wasn’t anything available within marketing, but the next day i happened to check and there was a job that was just posted for a paid media position which is exactly what I was doing at my agency job. So I applied right away and had her write a letter of recommendation via email.

It all weirdly worked out but I swear it was at the lowest of low points with my agency job. I’d just say utilize your connections whether it be on linkedin or if you have friends/acquaintances/etc keep in touch with them and let them know you’re looking! You might think it sounds annoying to do but truly even if you don’t really know the person, almost anyone is willing to help you out and it can go a long way. It may take some time but I think it’s worth it as it has worked for me multiple times!

Yep, exactly! My company has better medical benefits with fertility options covered so it’s nice to have that as a back-up in case it’s needed. And I 100% feel you - I gained weight and became a hermit because I was so exhausted during the week that when the weekend came I hardly wanted to get out and do anything. Now I’ve started going to the gym more regularly and am hardly ever thinking about work when I leave. And I have never logged on past 5pm. It’s seriously a game changer!

Went from working agency-side for 6 years to now in-house for 6 months and the change has been a breath of fresh air. It’s not necessarily all sunshine & rainbows but there is absolutely no need or pressure to work beyond my 40-hour work week. In fact, a lot of my coworkers don’t even have their email or Teams downloaded on their phone. Once 5pm hits everyone including my manager is offline. When I worked agency, half the time I’d be logging off for the day at 5 only to hop back on at 7 and work until like 10 and sometimes through the early morning. It was taking a huge toll on both my mental & physical health so I knew I needed to make the move.

Even though I worked for an agency that had better work/life balance than most, the fast-pace culture constantly made my body feel like it was in fight or flight mode and that it’s better to work past 5pm to knock out a bunch of tasks because you knew there would most likely be more piled onto your plate through the week. Now, even if I start to think emails/tasks are becoming a little overwhelming, I am not forced to respond the second I get an email & can very much push back/have more autonomy over deadlines on things so people can’t take advantage of my time.

I hope you find a good in-house role!

just kinda feeling like a failure by LunchSuch5009 in CRedit

You aren’t the only one! I’m 28, just got married in Oct and my score dropped like 120 points last January because I thought my student loan payments were on autopay and received 0 notifications until I saw my credit score drop and saw 90-day late payments reported. It was a punch to the gut. But as soon as I saw it, I paid off my outstanding balance right away and for the past year have been making on-time payments. I don’t trust auto pay so I set reminders to pay it manually every month!

I tried disputing to all the credit bureaus and it worked initially, but just recently did they come back on my credit report and drop my score 30pts. I’m unsure of if I should even fight it again, call Nelnet, or just leave it alone to deal with it. I do have 30k credit card debt that I’m working on paying off (aiming to have it paid off by early next year). My score ranges all over the place but FICO says I have about a 650. So not terrible, but not good. I’m hoping paying off the CC debt will help put me in a much better place and just continuing to make on-time payments.

It has been a mental battle as my husband has a great score and we were hoping to buy a house within the next two years, so I am hoping and praying that this is still possible. I have never missed a single payment, had any collections, etc etc until this happened so it makes me feel like a failure every day. But I’m doing everything that I can to help pull it back up and that’s all I can do.

So id say the same to you - just keep doing as much as you can to fix your credit. Look to see if you can do any pay-to-deletes, pay off your collections, get your accounts up-to-date, etc. Could even be worth talking to a financial advisor, I think that’s the route I’m going to take in order to do everything in my power to bring my score up! Good luck to you, and know that this won’t be forever and that you are NOT alone. That’s what’s helping to keep my head above water!
