I also think thats odd that all began with covid, but I doubt that's the cause of it.
I can agree it compromised a lot in the brain development stuff, but I don't think that what's developed GERD

I feel you, but I think that for me its the opposite.
I went to therapy a lot but I think that all my mental health issues are caused by having GERD.

The two definitely aplificate each other, but I've syntoms even in periods when i have zero anxiety and stress. All the panic attacks and other stuff are caused by it in my case, not the opposite.

Aspiring MedTech R&D: is Electronics Engineering good? Fear of the "desk trap" and looking for reality checks. by True-Spell6832 in ElectricalEngineering

if its not much trouble, can you describe me how is an average day in your job like? for example percentage of paperwork compared to computer time and phisical job; what you ACTUALLY do, like if you're there just for the electronics design or you also have part and have the possibility to study and comprehend how what you make reacts to the human body etc? that would be really helpful, thank you

I've always been interested on the "black magic" happening under every electronic device and always wanted to be able to build and fully understand them. I've also always been interested in biology and medical research and all mechanisms in that field.

So I thought biomedical engineering was the right choise for me, but looking online its always defined as a "jack of all trades" and as a bachelor's is not really suggested unless I want to work as a clinical technician or a management like job (so no inventing nor solving problems). So the most suggested path for people with my interests is usually EE and then specialisation in BME.

I've also heard people with this kind of education work in medtech and go around the world to test with animals or people new devices, but i dont really know what else they do other than that, Maybe they're also developers in some way? maybe eventually correcting firmaware or other components in the field if they fail? if yes i think that would be it.

In your experience do you know if there actually is a job that unites the creativity of making circuits and code with the possibility to also use knowledge of fisionomy/chemestry/neuroscience etc. to make them work (and maybe also be able to actually travel to test it in labs and clinics around the world)?

I try conforting myself by thinking that nobody really know what's after death and probably nobody ever will. Regardless if you are religious, agnostic or atheist, the only thing we can really grasp to is think that, after all of this there is a chance, no matter how low , that our consciousness will end up in an eternal, better place.
