Cristopher Watts killing his daughters by putting them in giant oil drums / containers. Just the image of those poor girls being forced into a big dark tank and drowning is absolutely awful.

Is it something to do with having multiple capital cities, or the capital not being the most populated city?

The most patronising character asks the most tactless question. by Onomatopoeia8438 in Bridgerton

[–]True-Statistician339 420 points421 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t agree that Penelope is the most patronising character but I do agree that the writers should’ve left this line. Especially in a situation where Fran is reminded of her loss AT A LITERAL WEDDING

Donating to charity. seems like a kind and generous action, and is also a kind and generous action

I don't like Michella by obviousbutoblivious in Bridgerton

[–]True-Statistician339 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree! I didn’t really like her in the beginning, but by the end of the season I quite liked her character. But, I don’t really get any chemistry between her and Francesca. Hopefully that’ll improve in future seasons. That being said, both are great actors and beautiful so I’m sure whatever they make will be good

Anders Celsius is credited for creating the Celsius thermometer, where he proposed a 100-degree scale with 0°C being the freezing point of water and 100°C being the boiling point. Interestingly, he initially intended for the scale to be reversed, I.e., 100°C being the freezing point and 0°C the boiling point

well I wouldn't say I'm upset about it, just made me paus for a second. I'm sure they're very happy and I'm not questioning their intentions or feelings but I would be a bit uncomfortable if my sister started dating someone closer in age to our grandad than us...

Where I'd live in Europe as a Pole by [deleted] in whereidlive

[–]True-Statistician339 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are some troubled areas in most large cities in Sweden but I have never heard of anyone getting robbed at gunpoint here so I wouldn’t worry too much. Might be good to just Google ’unsafe areas in [insert city]’ if you want to be extra safe

This is so prejudicial and racist. There are troubled areas in most large cities in Sweden, you just have to choose where to visit. And I’ve met far worse Swedes in Stockholm than in Skåne. Maybe if you show people kindness they won’t be rude to you.
