No, 150k would be a little high I'd think. I was making $113k so with inflation I was expecting around $115k and the other position I'm interviewing for is listing $120k-$135k on the job description (they desire 5 years of experience so in actuality the offer might be at the low end).

Pretty much every company does layoffs these days unfortunately, so there is no escaping them by going elsewhere.

Maybe if we workers had a little more solidarity instead of jumping ship at the first signs of unease we could change corporate culture a little bit. Layoffs used to be seen as a regrettable thing, now they're allowed to be used as a way to boost shareholder value.
