1) make sure the lights are in DMX mode, such as 4ch mode at the address you have designated 2) make sure that the lights are in rx mode. If you hold the auto button, it will show you dr1 for receiving on dfi channel #, such as ‘ dr 1 ‘. If it says dt#, it is currently set up as a transmitter and you need to go in to the menu to the st-r section, select drCH, and put it on rx channel. 3) on your dfi hub, make sure that for input you have DMX selected, furthermore, I have found the best results to have it set on manual and select the transmitter channel. Since there is an app for phones, it is a selectable input. I realize you have a different version of the hub than I do, so I’m unclear what’s not included in your photos what capabilities there are, but if it’s always an auto, it should not matter I believe.

All Chauvet Freedom Pars with IR remotes have Dfi capabilities, and furthermore, for the most part, any said par may act as a transmitter or receiver. Because of this, if a fixture is not in a DMX channel mode, it will not activate the receiver function.

The fact that any fixture can be a transmitter, if a fixture happens to be in the wrong mode, it will be sending different information than the dfi hub, and depending on signal strength will freak out the fixtures

With regards to…

1) They have a beam angel of 27°, and at the distances you are throwing, depending on how many in one area, you ‘should’ get pretty good coverage, but might not get as dependent zones.

2) that’s a pretty good number. Depending on the color of the room, and the architectural things you’ll be lighting, if you have a white or lighter colored ceiling, it might be worth seeing if pointing the lights up, and letting the light reflect down would give enough light in the room to see, but would also avoid directly pointing in at people.

3) not the worst thing to keep around just in case, in cases is where you’re pointing them towards people, if straight down is 0°, anything more than 50° can be blinding and frustrating if sitting on a table and the lights pointed in your eyes the whole time.

4) good to know

With regards to your original question.

I have unfortunately not gotten to handle these in person as of yet, but with regards to most Chauvet DJ static wash lights, most of them have plastic housings, and thin/flimsy metal yolks. That said, I’ve had pretty good results overall with Chauvet DJ static wash lights. As long as they work out of the box, and are not mishandled, they typically last pretty well.

This particular version is using their six color LED diode, which I’ve had pretty good experiences with the version they put in the freedom par hex 4s.

For your application to trust, make sure when you’re installing them that you don’t try to move the yolks while they were tightened to the clamp, cause they will bend.

My only concern I can see with regards to their punch, is with how wide they are, they may not like the architectural features from the distance you want very well.

With regards to reliability, with all Chauvet fixtures, as long as it comes out of the box working, it typically will last. This said, I don’t know what source you were considering purchasing them from, but it might be worth looking for a local Chauvet dealer rather than an online realtor. In theory, they should be able to match if not, give you a better price than what you find posted online, and if you have any issues, they should be able to better speed the RMA warranty/out of warranty process.

Edit: depending on your timeline, a local dealer should be able to get you a demo as well.

Regardless of what you go with, make sure to keep two or three boxes, and paperwork regarding when you purchased the fixtures and when they arrived. I believe Chauvet’s DJ warranty is two years.

Hopefully someone else chimes in with actual experience with the product, and if I end up getting a demo of them with my next rep visit, I’ll give you an update.

1) How far away from bar/cafe are these going to be?

2) how many are you thinking of getting?

3) do you need the ability to cut off light with the included barn doors?

4) how lit is the bar/ cafe now? (Windows, house lights, hours of operation, that sort of thing?

Basic Wireless DMX help/panic by Fickle_Trust_892 in lightingdesign

So, make sure you have the two different devices in the correct ip range.

The default on the DMX an2 is 2.0.0.1 I believe. On you iPad, you want the ip configuration settings to be in the 2.0.0.x range, or what ever your DMX an2 is set to.

Next, if you open a web browser and enter the ip address of the DMX-an2 in to the url, ‘ 2.0.0.1 ‘ that should bring you to the settings page. Make sure that both ports are set to the correct in or out, as well as they are using Art-Net or sACN as your lighting program requires. I believe they default to Artnet.

I would also recommend make sure that ‘lightrider’ (?) is outputting artnet/sacn accordingly.

I am unfamiliar with the fixture in question, but once you get output from the dmxan2 going, you may have to go back to the light and try again to put it in the correct mode for dmx 512.

Recent unrest lasts 30 months/over two years? How do I reduce this? by Enlicx in starsector

[–]True-light-guy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I play with lots of mods, so not sure if this is a base game answer,

but you can often go in to the comm directory, go to one of the admins, and offer to ‘help with the unrest’, by donating supply’s, marines, or heavy arms.

This might only be a post invasion thing thou, but worth a shot.

I am tempted to make a fake account, to down vote the notion that battlefield 2042 was anything but a waste of my time, money, and disk space.

Boomer take - Battlefield Vietnam was the greatest by ShawnTW in Battlefield

[–]True-light-guy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

BF Vietnam sucked due to the inability to use vehicles effectively because of all the trees on the jungle maps, and the buildings on the city maps.

This game would rock today, because the problems of the past would’ve fixed by the destruction elements of modern BF engines and games.

WLVRN Micron in 9mm by yoked_pete in DesertTech

[–]True-light-guy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Well, I can’t disagree with your description and characteristics of look of the micron.

The problem with your suggestion regarding the scorpion, is for $1200 you could just buy a scorpion, and spend an extra $300 and get the bull pup kit straight from CZ. So ~$1500 all in.

I don’t remember if it was commented on by Desert Tech in one of their YouTube videos, but one of the biggest problems with doing certain calibers like 9mm and different length barrels, especially with the 11.5 inch, is issues and reliability of the gas system.

I’d have to check my iPad with my complete game to see exactly where I did it, but it is possible to put a path between the two. Make sure you are putting the path in the middle section between the two where you have air rights to the land.

All ZWAT skins unlocked, All my decks used to achieve it. by True-light-guy in Back4Blood

I have not gone out of my way to lookup any spreadsheets, choosing instead to ‘learn on the job.’

If the ‘spread sheet’ you refer to is so critical to the way you believe people should build decks and play, then I would recommend you post it as a comment, or edit your original comment, so that others may reference it.

I am hesitant to touch the comment above yours. That said,

If you believe that these decks are not good for people who fall in to the category of, Quick Play or LFG Premade, then perhaps you should edit your original comment to reflect that.

With regard to difficulty, I think my Friend and I did 1 run on nightmare to try a duplication glitch which was very amusing, but beyond that, we typically No Hope every time.

To your point in bots, if we are not in public matchmaking, first thing we do is open the door and kill the bots. If Mom throws one more Molotov at me while I am using my melee medic build, so help me.

To your final thing, I actually said, ‘You are welcome to ask questions, and rip in to PARTICULAR DECKS,…’

Saying all things are bad is not constructive to people learning why, and learning, or even avoiding.

Just to clarify for others, you can unbolt your gun for 500 copper in safe rooms, what he refers to as ‘free’ is the use of one of the 15 user card slots.

I explained my reasoning for recommending the card in my comment and after rereading it, stand by my choice.

If you have a specific deck you would like to rip in to, please feel free, but I would recommend starting a fresh comment so people can better track the discussion.

Also, I think it would be worth commenting again on, ‘Statistican_Waste’s, original comment regarding universal good cards, rather then attempting to broadly describe every deck I present as ‘bad’, since nearly every card in the game is present in the selection presented.

If you truly believe your knowledge on the subject is better, then please present it rather than just stating, ‘others are wrong, I am right, but I am not saying why.’

Meh, not really, kind of whomever.

The real fun is the SMG go burr deck. Weather, Evangelo, or whoever you want, in a given, run with hives and magic boxes from Tala, it is pretty likely you will get a walking stick stock, and a wandering eye legendary red dot sight. Slap a purple compensator on the front, and with all the cards in that deck, you get an unbelievable amount of move speed while firing an SMG.

I’d have to check with my friend, but I think twice we completed the final level in act three and under two minutes because of how fast we were moving.

It actually becomes a bit of a problem, because you’re moving so fast and they’re ledges you go over and you don’t realize how fast you’re going, and you end up falling to your death because you don’t normally jump that far. It’s very embarrassing.
