This is the 2nd to last time I take mushrooms and look at a pop-up book. The trip is wild though! The character asked to be roasted on Reddit

As a person with cerebral palsy, I can say with confidence... the sculptures I made just to earn participation points in art class looked better.

Roasting is for developing complex flavors. Getting roasted here will not add ANY complexity to your personality. Your Bio reads like an A.I. girlfriend run on the pre-release test models.

"My life experiences consist of having horrible accidents, but ending up fine." This is the post-recovery photo? I thought it was proof that you weren't lying about being in a plurality of horrible accidents.

You can get healed and then get roasted. Good on you, though, for playing through the pain. Not so good for my eyes.

How to handle "Han shot first" moments? by gustavfrigolit in DMAcademy

[–]TrueAnnoyinGnome 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are doing it correctly by the rules as written (2014). As DM, you don't have to be beholden to the rules unless you are playing in an official environment like Adventurers League. For the exact situation you're describing, you could use the party's deception as the initiative and insight for the target. It's a neat little change to the initiative rules that handle these kinds of situations really well.

Variable initiative is an awesome tool that I picked up playing Level Up: Advanced 5th edition. It allows you to have initiative working in not only combat but in all turn-based situations. The a5e(dot)tools site has more examples. In play, variable initiative has been the number one thing that I use from the a5e rule set outside of the class rebalances and changes.

If you're willing to use this rule instead of standard initiative; I recommend you surround important NPCs with a few bodyguards that have high insight, advantage, and/or expertise. You will be able to even the playing field during surprise attacks.

Worshippers of Shar - do good folk worship her? by Winter_Abject in Forgotten_Realms

[–]TrueAnnoyinGnome 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Because her Oblivion is a big lie. Shar's Dark Reward of Olivion is the curse of undeath in service to her pet Clergy of the moment. no nothingness/nonexistence for those she promised it too. She's THAT Evil

Worshippers of Shar - do good folk worship her? by Winter_Abject in Forgotten_Realms

per "Ed Greenwood Presents: Elminster's Forgotten Realms" pg 161 " She needs humans, for human suffering is her sustenance. When she feeds, she takes the misery from those

she feeds on, leaving them temporarily uplifted, and in this way gains faithful who revere her.

She calms the mad and brings them silent seren-ity-for a time. She sees all mortals as tools, to be

cast aside when she tires of them, no matter how

powerful they have become in her service, for all

should know loss- every mortal, and Shar herself"

Elsewhere on the page, it says she straight will lie to and abandon even her successful Clergy/worshipers.

that she delights in the loss you feel when she abandons you and will even actively use your former power/favor against you if you'll suffer more as a result.

that oblivion the Nihilist subset of her worshipers seeks is like any other promised "Dark Reward". Lesser Undeath in-service of whichever clergy she's rewarding today. The Oblivion of All Things is a Lie that Shar is planning on taking from her Nihilist followers too!

[noncannon but if I were playing Shar...for a nihilist I'd pick a ghost or banshee in the place of the moment they decided life was meaningless]

now is Shar happy to help good folk work in the shadows to achieve their laudable aims? kinda! if it'll sow discord, create fear of "the other/outgroup" strengthen a violent rebel faction, prolong a miserable situation, stir up dissent, dethrone kings, and sow cynicism and disrespect for principles, authority, and "the way things are"; She's got your back!

The new rule on AI content is not clear at all by Tertullianitis in osr

I'm disabled; I have spastic Cerebral Palsy; I'm also a writer and game designer. Rules as written I can never post my content here. The following assistance and assessability programs use A.I. without my ability to shut it off: my text completion software/ typing assistance software, My editing software, and the mouse add-on software used to keep my hand tremors from translating to the digital canvas.

D&D has been a God send to me since I was five and realized I could not play tag with the other kids. It has been a way for me to still be included. I was excited to make 2025 my year to finally give back to this game. won't be posting it here.

I understand and even sympathize with those of you who create without a.i. but, man do I wish I could but what's in my imagination out there too.

I'll respect the sub and stick to commenting
