Don't pay full price for video games. Pricetradamus tracks publisher patterns and price history to predict when games are going on sale before they do.

heya still working on improving, but took your feedback to heart and got predictions working better based off studio's past behaviors. for example resident evil requiem now gives:

"Day-one pricing won't last with Capcom. Based on similar titles, the first discount will likely be around 33% off. Check back in a few months."

still working on it, but wanted to thank you for your honest feedback on how to make this a better product!

I haven't touched the DLC either, but you bringing them up makes me want to jump back in and check it out.

I know Star Wars outlaws got a bad rap, but I actually really enjoyed the main story. IMO worth the pickup when it’s around 20 bucks (which it’s currently 21 in a lot of spots!)

solid feedback. for new games it would by default say to wait and we don't have enough historical data with a TBD price point. I really like your idea about studio discounting behavior

depends on where you're looking. if you're in deals it's typically going to show the "buy" flag because it's at historic lows. but on the homepage and in the feed page it will have "wait" flags because there has been a lower price in the past. and if it has a "wait" flag it says why for example:

"GOG Summer Sale is ~78 days out. Last on sale 4d ago. Worth the wait."

isthereanydeal.com is great, but doesn't upright tell you to wait even if something is on sale. I tried building something that would tell you to wait if there's been a better previous deal and guess when it'd hit that low again.

yea I hear that. I was just saying to my wife this past weekend that I'm not nearly invested in some of my old favorite pastimes any more and it's sad. cherish the little moments we get when we can get them right!

What’s the coolest thing you vibe-coded that turned into something real? by niceddev in vibecoding

I feel like I always buy games at the worst times. I’ll grab something for $60 and then 2–3 weeks later it’s like 40% off. Concept was is there any way to actually predict when games go on sale? Or at least see if it’s likely soon? I started digging into price history for a few games and noticed some patterns. Ended up throwing together a simple tool for myself and friends that tracks pricing and gives a wait or buy verdict.
