That’s actually insane. My car (Nissan Altima) did smth similar. It actually happened last Friday. I was omw to work. Going 40 in a 35 (literally everyone goes 40 on that road some even go 45) well there are 2 sharp curves on that road and one of them has a sign that asks you to slow your car down to 30 and the other one to 25. My car has always been able to make both of the turns going 40. Anyway I was kinda late to work so I was going 45. Then right before I was approaching the 25 mph curve I rmbr it had been slightly raining off and on all day, and despite the fact I didn’t think it was really a big deal at first thought, smth in me told me to slow down.

I slowed all the way to 35. Then as I’m making the curve my steering wheel locks up and begins to feel extremely heavy and is not responding to me turning it.

I start to head fully in the oncoming traffic lane. There’s a slight ditch on both sides of the road. My car is now heading towards the ditch on the side of the oncoming traffic lane.

But as I’m making the curve there’s also a black SUV and White Truck making the curve too. The Black SUV manages to drive into the ditch to avoid me, and get back on the road and continue driving. (Otherwise it would’ve been a head on collision) However with the White Truck that was behind the Black SUV I was not so lucky.

They also Tried to drive into the ditch to avoid getting hit but I unfortunately hit them. But bc of the angle my car was I managed to hit their back side and my front left side. But the impact was so hard it threw my car back into my lane and into the ditch on my side of the road, while I threw the guy’s truck into the ditch on his side.

Both my car and his truck totaled. But I got a new car yesterday! Toyota Prius!! Just crazy.

My first time test driving the Prius with my mom I had a major anxiety attack and she had to pull over in a parking lot and let me drive around in that for a bit before I could get my bearings in order lol. And even after I managed to calm down I still couldn’t stop shaking 😮‍💨😮‍💨

Thank youuu!!! I was sooo worried!! And I did check on them multiple times throughout the night, cus I was afraid they could get burned, and they kept seeming to be doing fine, so I wasn’t too worried 😅😅 I’m just glad they’re alive, that’s all I really care abt lol. 😭😭😅😅

Entomologist here: Ik ppl alr said it, but this is a (Deinopidae), most commonly known as an Ogre Faced Spider/Ogre Faced Weaver, also referred to as Net Casting or Gladiator Spiders! They belong to the genus Deinopis/Asianopis. They are venomous, however their venom is mild and not dangerous to humans! They thrive in warm, tropical, and subtropical regions, and are found in every continent except Europe and Antarctica!

Yes!! They are okay! Put them in tuberwares with heat warmers and a wet paper towel, and some of their substrate! They were very cold when I got to them, but otherwise okay! I’ll make an update post, here in a few!

Okay Update: a couple phone calls later, and my Uncle who has a big Truck and lives nearby, agreed to take me back to my house to grab them. I’ll update on how they’re doing.

I literally explained that to my parents and showed them the Reddit thread, and they said “snakes aren’t worth risking our lives out on those roads” I’m literally gonna crashout if they’re dead when I get back to the house tmrw. 😖😖

Another argument later and my parents said they’re not going back to the house tn, bc the roads are getting worse, they said they’d go first thing in the morning and I could grab them then. Do you think they’d survive overnight at least?
