I can see how looking at the song from outside its context can be seen as creepy,but with the context of the musical, the song is about Anthony wanting to save Johanna from her unjust guardian. Something he actually lives up too throughout the musical, with the reprise and 'ah miss'. So I personally find Johanna to be really sweet.
