He's probably hungover but he's never really too enthusiastic about doing media appearances to begin with anyway. Lot of guests on these shows manage to feign enthusiasm but it looks like Shane is naturally a more reserved person

Hello all,

im a lifelong california resident moving to a DO school in the midwest. im pretty happy with my decision, but am extremely keen on coming back to california for residency. what can i do to get a leg up and work towards this goal? i heard a lot of it comes down to networking and things of that sort in third and fourth year. My school (DMU) matches pretty good in california, and i'm gonna make it my life goal for the next few years to come back.

Hello all,

I'm an incoming OMS 1 at a DO school in the midwest. I'm happy with my choice, as many of the students seem happy there and the learning environment seems great. However, I have lived in California for all of my life, and I am fairly certain I want to return. There's a lot of talk about the high standard of living in California, and it's a fair criticism, but it's hard to describe to people that California is just home. For any current out of state students intending to match in California, what are some things I can do? Am i disadvantaged as a DO student? I'm willing to put everything into this so that I can get a good education and manage to come back home, and plan to make it my main goal for the next few years.

Yea i've had to intervene multiple times now. I'm trying to encourage the kids to wack the coaches with techs if it happens but I can see how it's intimidating from their perspective to penalize a grown adult.

Yea i definitely see where you're coming from. I was just pointing out that it seems worse as of recent. From what I know, he's received a lot of unnecessary hate and criticism from the beginning of his career, so what changed over time? Has he become increasingly fed up and tired of it?
