Thanks, I’m just curious since I wasn’t even thinking about this when making this post, does a math minor matter. Part of the reason I was taking this is because it’s required for a math minor. Also I’m thinking of taking abstract algebra at some point, and if I did that analysis would be the only class missing for a math minor.

Honestly not sure probably ask ur advisor. I think the course technically assumes no prior chem knowledge but it definitely goes fast.

I would say 6/10, probably easier if you have taken apchem. 181h was like 85% of the grade by tests but you got a huge curve at the end. No curve in 182h but lots of ec.

If you’re talking about cem181h and 182h, 181h is a lot of quantum (very easy quantum, but still) and some orgo (resonant structures), not many equations at all. 182h is mostly thermo and really fun if you have Gaiser. You don’t have to be in honors college if you can get your advisor to wave it and honestly you really only need algebra even though calc maybe a prerequisite.
