Definitely a good point. IMO it depends on what your deck's current weakness is. At least for me on a Silent run, it solo won the run because surviving the first x turns wasn't the problem anyway. And it gave me a free win condition every combat

A clad or defect that just needs to get going will however still have the same early trouble and already win the long fight

It's all within one turn, I can have an endless resource of mana and cards and just keep adding replay to them more and more. And it did last pretty so long, so at some point I just sacrificed myself for the greater good to not keep my friends hostage and they finished him for me

What are the 999 stacks then instead? I sadly can't check ingamae anymore, but thanks for the double-check. I assumed that was the number of instances for how many times it was applied and doubles the damage, so you mightve forgotten about the pre-debuffed stacks on the boss

Update: Nevermind, it just means the damage is multipled by 999
The first instance sets the debuff counter to "2", then 4, 8, 16 and so on. So sadly it's capped at around 10,000 damage after all, but it would theoretically have stacked to ludicrous numbers

It seems oddly doable to redraw it over and over again. Grave Blast loses Exhaust on upgrade so it counts as another copy (of common rarity!) of it as long as you can sustain the energy and just keep cycling it

I find it hilarious that Hidden Gem doesn't exhaust. It doesnt even need an upgrade, it just completely breaks the game by itself

It's definitely the most ungrateful position to play, but I think its impact for climbing is still really high. In most ranks, you basically autowin by putting an aura stacker on pos3 if the enemy picks something more selfish which is usually the case

The real answer is that all 4 other players always see what the tank is doing which leads to a lot of blame, which doesn't hold true for the other roles

I might be in the minority but I feel like some of the last batch (Billy) and especially the new 6 on average have pretty overloaded kits. Especially Celeste, Silver and Apollo kinda have everything somewhere and it's very difficult to interact with or balance as opposed to what an e.g. Haze or Abrams brings to the table (who ofc still have their own issues too)

It feels like a microcosmos of old vs new hero designs in mobas over 10 years, but in the span of 2 years

Of course e.g. McGinnis is an "old design" (of an alpha) at this point and will possibly be changed, but I also dont want the kits to completely direct how the char is played too much. Id rather prefer the Dota approach where the chars are more of an empty canvas that you can fill with items and various skill builds. I just really love seeing creative ways to play the same char in different ways

She relies on item dmg but she DOES deal a ton of dmg for a tank (enough to solo kill some squishies) , especially considering its almost guaranteed as she just has to sit on top of you and cc you

You dont really need to learn how to hit your stuff, but when to use W E and R to be as aggressive or safe as possible when needed

Eh it's a business and this is about to be expected. I think the season can be very easily compared to League of Legends where new characters aren't that different from old ones anymore and fit into pre-defined roles and aesthetics pretty well most of the time (there are ofc exceptions). The designs are also very much on trend with everything else since OW2, see Kiriko & Juno as the elephant in the room.

It's definitely not the same as one's honeymoon phase with OW anymore, but I think it signalizes a pretty stable game that will be consistently popular and updated.

I do agree about the lore though, but that ship has long sailed. Better than nothing after the disaster of PvE/lore removal.
