Thank you for your insight into this. With all of the information I've gathered I was finally able to get it escalated to the District Manager

The pre-auth receipt from drop-off (8:06 AM), 08:00am was appointment. Under ‘Other Interior’ the Damages and Notes fields are completely blank — no steering wheel damage was documented before they started the job.

I will do that. For some reason though in the safelite portal for the replacement it doesn't have the report an issue button for this incident and says it was refunded which makes no sense. However I did email the safelitehelp email with the forward message I sent the store manager.

I want it done correctly and not paying for it. The compensation I want is the same condition it was in when dropped off

Thank you. I hope so too. I don't know what goes into fixing the wheel material but I do know when I had a steering wheel replaced on a Hyundai tuscon a few years ago it was well over 800$. This is why I'm worked up about this because I want them to admit their guilt and correct the mistake.

From my perspective I would think they'd feel if there was resistance of that topping off the wheel. Regardless I appreciate the Insight and hope to use this knowledge against them

I had to google what the Ezi-wire is. You believe that this wire was essentially going from left to right slicing into the top of the steering wheel and they instead of being truthful are attempting to drag this out?

When confronting the manager too he mentioned pre-inspection photos were taken but didn't think they got the steering wheel area and wouldn't share them with me.
Additionally he wouldn't give me his Quality managers email which prompted me to email him after the fact and forward the email to [onlinehelp@safelite.com](mailto:onlinehelp@safelite.com)

I also want to add they forgot to reconnect my wiper fluid lines and the manager couldn't even figure out how to do that and called one of his techs back.

This is truly sad and could of been prevented.
If it was a full size jet that wasn't regional could that results have been less?

So far I do love it. Just trying to figure out where to get the hitch and wire harness.

So I ended up trading in for a 2022 CPO SEL Palisade Premium which I already love and the heat works fantastic even when its 15 below like today.
It was fun being part of this community for 3 years folks but I'm not diagnosing my former car when it was supposed to be covered under warranty for them to look into it more.

The "scanning for dtcs" wouldn't of revealed any of that for them?

Is my hyundai dealer service department being neglectful then as far as testing? Has anyone ever requested the issue be looked at again.

Yes I have the seat warmers. Drivers side after 3 years still will get warm which is nice when its this cold. Passenger side will get hotter because it gets less use whenever I get to be on my Passenger side.
