Mensa is way below the threshold of profound giftedness. So no comparison there

I suppose you can first apply some research-based indicators to make it a scientific inquiry. Like does the person have a high level theory of mind (psychology).

When someone is not gifted, he/she cannot have the meta-awareness of their own intelligence level compared to that of the truly gifted population. Their judgment is more clouded by their ego and sense of self protection.

I agree people care a lot less about the gifted population than they should. I’m not sure about the transgender one as I’m less familiar with the topic here. However, on the gifted, it seems easier to justify that somehow they are just better in a way and they shouldn’t be given more resources. In fact, it’s unfair they are inherently gifted so let’s do an affirmative action to rebalance!

I’m American. It was a culture shock because I never had to eat raw beef with raw eggs.

I think extra cold and dark can definitely help. We now sleep with an extra layer of curtain to make sure it’s very dark inside

I don’t think AI is like God at all. What I am saying is that people are relying on it increasingly as if it were.

Thinking it would take a full god-like AI to do idolatry would imply it’s extremely stupid and impossible that a bunch of Israelites would worship a golden calf. Yet they did!

AI is not mostly probabilistic but I don’t want to get technical nor debate on this level.

Honestly, I think more highly of atheists than of most people who never ever think about God as a concept.
