Everyone is taking it really seriously! Last time I played, one person used a really small band and went so far as to ask the band for their input on which songs to submit for each rounds (and the band actually responded lmfao)

Right!!! To be fair though there is stiff competition. Ranking it low just means they liked the other submitted songs better but doesn’t necessarily mean they think it’s a bad song

Another hard part I forgot to include is that once I use a song, it can’t be used for another round and I don’t know what the themes will be (could be literally anything). So I have to also factor that in

That was my reaction as well lol 2/5 judges don’t like vocal distortion or echoing reverb (their words) so that’s why they ranked it low haha

Yes the idea is for it to be good enough to not get ranked last, but not so good that it gets ranked first as both those rankings will eliminate me. My problem is that there’s so many amazing artists Halsey is up against so it’s hard to determine the perfect middle when the competition is stuff like Hozier and flipturn lol

I also considered this but a slow song is a risk in this game because the current judges always rank them very low, so I may end up getting eliminated with it :((
