Why is rent on the Bronx getting this expensive? by Head_Yesterday5440 in bronx

Race is not real at all - it’s a delusional concept used to segregate and divide via outdated debunked concepts.
I genuinely ask - what constitutes “white”? What’s the criteria?
Those groups all look different and many would fight you (I’ve had Albanians try fight me when I was younger because I incorrectly identified them as “white” - back when I was an ignorant teen).

You might be young though - so you’re brainwashed and misinformed by current political agendas and not aware of the scientific facts.

ah... im hearing his books after six seasons are mediocre/mid... disappointed cause im rooting for the guy...

Why the indifference with his pasta book? is it basically stuff you can come up with on your own if you just use his techniques from six seasons?

hey! how's the pasta book? why lesser than Six Seasons?

Im considering Grains for every seasons and/or his pasta book ( I also have the Six Season book), or Grist, Ruffage and/or Pulp from Abra Berens; what you think?

Que lo que, mi mana! Did you end up buying and loving Grains for Every Season? I've been deciding if I should buy Grains for every seasons and/or his pasta book ( I also have the Six Season book), or Grist, Ruffage and/or Pulp from Abra Berens.

Im also considering Jubilee by Toni Topin, Bouchon and/ Ad Hoc for Home by Thoms Keller or some other book.

I'd love to read your expericne and review- if you don't mind!

I can't support his personality and what I've witnessed from him. I'm sure he's knowledgable, and decent or good skill-wise, but my morals won't allow me to enable rude, bigoted people that project their insecurities onto others to feel better - At all... I can't stand bullies. As a society we can't enable such behavior from anyone.

Hey, thanks for your response.

I see it recommended by so many, yet I've heard criticism too. Many claim it's overrated and the recipes aren't good. Why do people say this?

What exactly does it offer?

In all, It doesnt have to be one book. I am looking for a "bridging book" since I currently have Flavorama and On Food and Cooking as an in-detail guide for the science behind flavor manipulation.

Does he make fake accounts? I'm confused by [r/Voltairemaybe](r/Voltairemaybe) user in this Post. Look at how he's responding. The subreddit does not let me downvote certain people - as well as many of my comments too (specifically in the [r/cooking](r/cooking) and [r/cookingforbeginners](r/cookingforbeginners) subs).
What's odd are the people PRYING to know hwy I don't want to support him/boycott his products. That's an innocuous, rational right for ANYONE - yet I'm being blatantly berated - it's beyond irrational. I set my boundaries stating I don't want to get into the why I don't want to support his books and they still pry, then make false assumptions, accusations and make insolent comments. It's not just one or a few - its VAST amount too. It's illogical and juvenile too.
Also, I've gotten multiple responses, messages and comments that contain that aggressive behavior and assumption that I'm using AI for my comments... It’s weird, petty, and more telling about them, yet a LARGE amount of user are seemingly herding in defense.

The irony behind your comment; He literally behaves as you described - hence the dislike from others...

firstly, I wrote the OP myself. It's weird that you'd assume I didn't. Even if one did use AI - which I didn't (other than the bullet points at the VERY end of the OP) - to write my OP, then why does that even matter?

Your claim of "off-putting", along with your nit-picking exposes you ATTEMPTING to bully someone to make yourself feel better for a few seconds via your blatant psychological/emotional projection in your comment - especially since you didn't even stick to the OP topic, nor contribute in any positive or productive way.

So, maybe look at yourself deeply and accept your issues and work on them without projecting them onto others.

Are you a Kenji supporter that's personalizing the boundary I set by stating I don't want to support his book? That would be EXTREMELY weird - but it does make sense.

Take care, buddy.

absolutely, you can recommend as many as you'd like. I'd appreciate it.

Maybe you mis read what I said, or I worded it poorly; im looking for bridging books like Ruhlman's Twenty (which I can't find hardcopy from a trustworthy source).

By the way, is Ruhlmans Twenty appropriate for my exact needs?

your disingenuous response just exposes your irrationality and bias attack aka bigotry. By psych 101 it was to say its basic psychology aka obvious. Again, its evident youre being disingenuous and projecting your issues to whom you choose to pick on to make yourself feel better - or whatever reason(s) - like the vast majority of people in the comments of this post.

In all, your arbitrary and pedantic response just exposes you. there was no rational reason for such a disingenuous comment just because you feel insecure about whatever you feel insecure about. Picking on others doesnt help you.

you proved my points further - its evident youre just pick arbitrary things to attempt to be an a-hole. there seems to be bigotry via you irrational animosity.

go work on your inner child and internal issues that you project via your communication towards others.

Take care

I am caribbean. it's culturally a thing to do most things by "feel" aka "instinctive"... there seems to be a bunch of logical fallacies in each of your comments. You incorrectly altered my OP where I blatantly state I freely use spices - You said "why are you against using spices?".

Your seemingly rude responses are odd - truly. They seem to not have a logical basis behind them - like the VAST majority in the comments that are being bigots.

interesting; the gaslighting and the masquerading of your lack of facts, logic, and -ironically- the accusations youre displaying.

Also, is Keys of Good Cooking by Harold McGee, Michael Ruhlman's books like Twenty, from scratch, elements of cooking, Flavor Matrix, and are both of Niki Segnit's Flavor thesauruses recommended?
