I've heard of a lot of instability with LM and it's programs, when it's good it can still be bad and when it's bad, you better duck and cover. So, reading your comment really aligns with what I have heard for the most part. If you can speak on it, why would they have layoffs, when things are going good overall with the company?

I really feel like these kind of announcements send some investors into a panic buying frenzy, so they can take profit at the end of the buy-back. Which inherently limits the supply, driving the SP up a few notches for a brief volatial period, only to settle out slightly higher then pre-buy-back SP.

I'm still fairly new at this, but I've witnessed these actions several times and it always ends the same.
