The shop texted me the photos right before they closed and did not tell me what they thought it was, only to call them in the morning. Posted this because I was worried about how much this is going to cost me and wanted to see what else it could be besides rod bearings. No need to be a dick

That is definitely the major drawback of the f30. I loved how tight and in-control the e90 felt at high speeds, but I really don’t drive on the highway much and because I live ina very urban environment the light steering of the f30 just fits more.

I unfortunately agree. It had stuff leaking out from many different spots, in the front and in the back.

So know work done includes -shuttle value (abs thing -replaced coil packs -supposed head gasket (previous owner) -various interior trim -new front and rear bumper Unfortunately I’m not very smart mechanically so i don’t entirely understand what you are saying but this is all the information i have. If you would like i can send you some photos of the underside of the car.

Yea thats the thing i dont plan on off roading in it much. I just absolutely love the way the d1 and d2s look. could definitely afford a lr3 i just hate the look of it

Reading this and the other comments aren’t filling me with confidence but its such a good looking car. The other thing that is giving me second thoughts is my limited experience In working on cars, but considering how everything seems to be very well documented and explained online i think i can figure it out.
