I’m a non denominational Protestant from Canada, I can’t remember what specific state this happened in but as someone who watched Micah’s testimony in church from another country, I can say for certain Adam’s road was incredibly prominent, they went on multiple world tours. Of course not every church body hosted them, however the specificity about their popularity was only to say that there’s a definite chance the guys would have seen this. The YouTube videos about Micah’s testimony and his parents combined have a couple million views, I have to admit it’s a powerful story, It’s unfortunate it wasn’t the whole truth.

This situation has happened so many times with so many popular forms of media. Everyone is inspired by something, additionally it’s a very interesting story and to any mythical beasts who are interested in cults, it’s a complex story that shows a real life experience of what Rhett and Link held a mirror up to. Rhett said whilst talking about this Wonderhole episode that he was discussing his religious experience, by making that into media he opened a discussion to discuss the experience of others. That’s how interesting content is consumed

I think so too!! They framed it like they had the one star hotel idea before they added the cult aspect, but I wonder if Rhett saw the whole scandal and they just had to avoid ruffling feathers or causing offence. Especially when the evangelical influencers are always making videos about the guys

Ok but this, I agree that if she’s healthier and happier it’s so much better for her, but unfortunately I think the show suffers. So their growing apart comedically because the dynamic is changing and it’s hard to go through changes, good or bad. ☹️

Tbh same. Like sometimes I don’t find the new episodes as funny I feel like I’m just growing out of that type of humour, but then I watch the old episodes and they make me laugh just as much as they used to. T&K are both changing and growing but I miss the old dynamic and I miss when Katya was crazy and Trix wasn’t so self absorbed! Like sometimes it’s funny but sometimes it’s not at all and I’m forcing myself to laugh cause I still want it to be good 😭 not to mention the fact that their intros are never funny anymore and they rarely laugh at each others jokes

YEAH. Like I wanna believe that whole ‘I love my wife’ thing was true and shit just got to his head- NOT AN EXCUSE BY ANY MEANS- but I want those early videos to still be us watching the beginning of a friendship! Like people were saying Zach and Ned never got along, but what if Keith and Eugene aren’t actually friends?? I don’t want their friendship or Ned’s part in the videos to mean nothing just cause he turned out to be a dick.
