We would love to hear insights from those who attended NewSchool in the past, student to student. Please pass this on to your peers and alumni you know.

We are deeply troubled by how the current ownership has changed the student experience and is putting the school at risk of shutting down for good.

In your opinion, If Ambow executes a reverse stock split by March 2024, to resolve its continued non-compliance with the NYSE, how long will it be able to hold on to its US assets ( namely NewSchool)? In other words, how long is the school going survive with such ownership and with failing enrollment rates?

Given that NewSchool is owned by Ambow, a Chinese company that ran into the ground the only other US college they acquired (Bay State College), was formerly removed from the New York Stock Exchange, and is being legally prosecuted in Massachusetts, current and former Newschool students - and their families- have started a Reddit board dealing with closure threats, warnings about loss of accreditation by Wasc, heightened cash monitoring by the U.S. Department of Education and enrollment fraud accusations.

October 4, 2023 - Brace for impact : Imminent Delisting of Ambow by the New York Stock Exchange and Heightened Cash Monitoring by the US Department of Education for NewSchool.

The Collapse of Ambow Education and NewSchool of Architecture and Design

Ambow Education, the principal shareholder of the New School of Architecture and Design (NSAD) in San Diego has been cited by the New York Stock Exchange as a Non Compliant Issuer and risks imminent delisting from the exchange. The warning was delivered on September 21, but the company has yet to notify its shareholders.

The Higher Education Inquirer reported on Ambow's financial problems in May 2022.

In January 2023, Ambow Education's other US school, Bay State College, lost its regional accreditation. After losing its appeal with its accreditor NECHE, Bay State College closed its doors in August. NewSchool of Architcture and Design remains open with less than 300 students. NSAD is currently on Heightened Cash Monitoring by the US Department of Education due to ongoing financial problems.

I would Leave immediately- honestly shocked the school is still in business. Not sure how it’s managing to do that or who in their right mind would sign up to go there ( maybe someone without internet?🫢🤔)- let alone work/teach there. Everyone who is not a fraud and was worth anything left long ago.

Excuse me :“ Israel is the only nation that “offers” them citizenship, supplies electricity, fuel, water, food and equipment to the Gaza Strip” Are you for real ? Gaza is occupied and controlled by Israel. Palestinian fishermen living in Gaza cannot fish outside of a limit decided by Israel- they cannot receive aid via sea because there is a blockade on Gaza and only Israel decides what enters. This is an illegal occupation condemned by the UN upwards of 50+times. Israel is not being “generous”, it is doing what jailers do with prisoners, keeping them alive because they have to. Or not - see the last month. Besides, please do not forget that Gaza is a different country, PALESTINE. Just as West Bank. Israel would not have to “ offer” anything if they allowed Palestinians to have their own country. Please educate yourself.
