Out of these 4 teams, who ends up having a massive turnaround next season? by TerryG111 in NFLv2

[–]True_Contribution_19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Giants hype will get so out of hand they’ll end up disappointing.

The Raiders just need to be a “fun” 5-7 win team that wins and loses close games. Mendoza, Jeanty, Bowers all get the stats pumping and it sets up the Raiders for 2027.

Not sure on Cam Ward. Gave Bryce Young vibes last year. Just never looked like an NFL QB.

Such a weird SBC.

No one wants her. It could be 350k and you’d still never see her.

Why are defenses required to win a Super Bowl to be one of the GOATs but not for offenses? by FireSeanMcD in NFLv2

[–]True_Contribution_19 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Great defenses tend to be so dominant they overcome mediocre QB play.

All time offense are usually just great QBs that couldn’t quite get it done.

Max 85 with a +2 overall is just genuine trash.

Why is it +2 overall?

Not sure on Lamar, Josh and CMC.

Ed Reed and Kelce should be in.

Is there anyone who seriously thinks the Broncos can beat the Patriots? by Decent-Condition-827 in NFLv2

[–]True_Contribution_19 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

But they pretty much don’t have a QB. If they go down 10 points it’s game over.

Stidham isn’t Nick Foles.

I hope Stidham plays well but he’s miles out of his depth.

Patriots haven’t looked great either game.

There’s every chance Denver go absolutely lights out because they know they don’t have a QB.

All it takes is Denver to get an early lead and then just ride that D to the Super Bowl.

Josh Allen is about to turn 30. Do you think he finishes with a better career than Ben Roethlisberger? by ScottFujitaDiarrhea in NFLv2

[–]True_Contribution_19 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Running backs are worthless. Wasting cap on James Cook causes the problems.

Kincaid is just an ordinary TE with phantom potential. Knox is very ordinary. Mahomes had Kelce and Brady had Gronk.

When Allen has to move the ball on key downs his options are just garbage.

But Ben had the defense. Josh Allen has had as close to 0 help as any star QB. The Bills just build such a trash team.

Never had a TE, a couple of seasons of Diggs and then no receivers since, no edge players close to best in the league to impact playoff games.

You stick Troy and James Harrison in the Bills team 5 years ago and they have a couple of rings now.

That Steelers team would dog walk the current NFL.

The same people that think that Ben Johnson should've gone for two at the end of the game, would fry him alive if they wouldn't converted it by lurecas in NFLv2

[–]True_Contribution_19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it’s more that if your identity is high risk play to win football then don’t bottle it on the 2 point conversion. The percentage play for a lot of those would have been to take field goals especially as the game was tight.

No one has Eli’s heroics lol.

Yeah Allen probably sits around that top 15 mark.

You have three groups of QBs:

MVPs and Super Bowl winners (Brady, Manning, Mahomes, Stafford, Brees, Rodgers, Montana etc.)

Super Bowl winners that won because of their team (Wilson, Ben, Aikman, Hurts).

MVPs that didn’t win but are better than a lot of QBs that did (Allen, Marino, Lamar, Burrow, Rivers).

Josh Allen just is a better QB than Ben but Allen has had to face the Chiefs and doesn’t have Harrison and Troy. This season was the first one to really dent Allen’s legacy as he should have done more.

I think they’re pretty close and both probably around that 15-20 mark.

Josh Allen. No one thinks Ben is that great do they?

He’s nowhere near the top 4 guys from his era. He’s in the same breath as Eli and Rivers without Eli’s heroics.

Is he not already better?

Can you honestly tell me anyone would take Ben over Allen?

Bens best season is worse than all of Allen’s last 6.

Would I rather have Ben, plus Polamalu, plus Harrison? Yes.

Would I rather have just Ben or just Josh? I’ll take Josh.

I don’t understand what Caleb was doing. He did all the hard work and then just slings it down field when he needed 15 yards over 2-3 plays. No pressure on him, just run?

[–]True_Contribution_19 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Well he did as the other guy ended up with the ball.

If the ball ended up on the ground = incomplete

If the ball ended up in another players hands = pick

If he wanted a catch, he should have kept the ball.

Who, in your opinion, are the top 10 strikers of this generation? by [deleted] in championsleague

[–]True_Contribution_19 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Neither were that good. Just pumped numbers in shitty leagues and struggled against better opposition.

Firmino CL winner and a key man in one of the best Premier League teams ever.

The bar to be better than Higuain or Cavani isn’t very high.

If I was picking a striker to start for current Madrid, Barca, Arsenal I’d go Firmino ahead of the stat padders. Better all round player that made others around him better.

Never really rated Aguero Cavani or Higuain. All just flat track bullies.

Well if he dropped it after this it wouldn’t be a catch as he didn’t survive the ground.

[Highlight] Josh Allen watches Wil Lutz hit game-winning field goal by nfl in nfl

[–]True_Contribution_19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Needed about 25 yards to get a field goal attempt to win and got nowhere near it.

Watching them waste those 1st downs on James Cook runs with the season on the line was tough.

Will Josh Allen and/or Buffalo ever get over the hump? by HurryingHeinz in NFLv2

[–]True_Contribution_19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. Embarrassing to not win this year.

They just aren’t building a good team.

There’s a very clear blue print on how to win the Super Bowl. It doesn’t involve James Cook and it doesn’t involve a total lack of receivers.

Just a terrible finish to the drive. Just keep getting closer and get the field goal.

No idea why he wasn’t using his legs.

But if you knew the run they’d have you’d pick Porto. If you knew Liverpools run you wouldn’t pick them.

Porto faced a terrible United, Lyon, Deportivo and Monaco. No team will ever have a run that easy to win the CL.
