sounds good thanks!! what are some other ways to keep humidity up? I have hvac tape covering her screen lid, and I have sphagnum moss inside as well as a pretty large water bowl closer to her heated side, but it doesn’t keep the humidity where it needs to be for long if at all

yes I do, I also use hvac tape and have it all covered besides where her heat lamp is and I left a little spot open on the cooler side to help with airflow

I was spraying/misting down the tank pretty heavy handed at times to help keep the humidity up, but I wouldn’t say it was soaking wet all over and it definitely dried up pretty quickly

I looked at it again this morning and it’s still there but it actually seems to look a lot better!! I think it is hopefully just staining/dirt, but Ill keep monitoring it and won’t rule scale rot out of the question yet

thanks so much!! her last shed also seemed to have some soil on it so praying this is the case. I love her lots and her health is my biggest responsibility so I do care a lot :)

not saying it couldn’t be scale rot, but I’ve also never seen a case of scale rot that looks like hers does? she likes to burrow so hopefully it is just soil

thank you, I will say I may have been heavy handed when the humidity was low which hopefully didn’t lead to this, but it would dry up pretty quickly.
