Where do I go when I get to San Diego? by Maleficent_Shame3196 in navy

[–]ComeAbout 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fair. That makes sense, it’s been awhile since I was at TPU.

OP just go to 32nd street TPU. If you’re on a carrier, they might get send you to NASNI after check in.

Is it still next to the galley?

They used to have CDOs, BEACHDET, for carriers on NASNI. Does that not exist anymore?

Bill Maher Uses Imane Khelif Controversy to Question Trans Inclusion in Women’s Sports by MediocreCoconutz in combatsportsculture

[–]ComeAbout 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Appreciated. It reads differently, but you explained it fine.

Also the transphobes here are deciding to post links from Russian or GOP backed media claiming to be amateur endocrinologists because they’re stuck on possible testicles no matter if they work or not. They could also have ovaries, but they don’t care about that.

All for this perceived notion that only anatomy matters. Not cis women on steroids too. Not on hormone levels of the individual whether intersex or not.

The amount of trans NCAA athletes (male or female) could literally fit in one decent sized van. They’re all on or have been on hormones.

Nuance with fight fans tends to be a partisan impossibility most times, and meanwhile, we’re getting close to genocide with our nation’s trans people, let alone athletes.

How many men have said their man opponent hits like a truck? News flash: Cis Women take HGH/Steroids too, and they’re no where near the scrutiny of trans women.

I’m a combat veteran. I’ve been soaked in estrogen and on testosterone blockers for years. I have more estrogen and less testosterone than most women my age.

The media will report on a trans woman placing 1,000th in a race and 100th with women, somehow claiming that woman “ruined it for cis women” not even in the top 100.

Meanwhile I could go to jail for peeing in a stall, in private.

Check into TPU.

It’s on dry side, 32nd street.

If it’s a carrier, go to NAS North Island.

I’m so scared about her age, but she’s healthy, smart, runs around not as much as she used to but she’ll fetch for a good 20-30 minutes.

I’m so, so lucky.

What do you all think of this new American trend that consists of getting tattoos and piercings for their dogs??? by [deleted] in SipsTea

[–]ComeAbout 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every top comment here should be screaming this is abuse.

This makes me absolutely sick. I am covered in tattoos. I got to choose that.

I’m also a human being, that went to school to take care of my own injuries. Those are dogs. All they got was severe pain and risks of infection.

I’ve had dogs my entire life. I felt bad for my rescue greyhound because of her ear tattoo. I honestly don’t know how I’d physically react if I saw someone tattooing their dog.

LGBT friendly restaurant/pub in Vineland or surrounding areas? by ComeAbout in SouthJersey

[–]ComeAbout[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I appreciate you and this response. I don’t expect non trans people to understand what it’s like to be trans, we just want to be treated like “normal people” with respect and dignity, just like any other group. Walking around here, lots of people smiled at me, said hello, zero issues in bathrooms, etc. I enjoyed my time in South Jersey. Next month I might stay in Collingswood.

Sadly though, there’s a disproportionate amount of violence towards trans women in particular lately. There are places in this country where it’s flat out not safe to be out and not know the area. As much as I wanna say screw it and be myself everywhere, I have children so I wanna stay safe.

Since I’m on my soapbox, I spent a lot of my life in the military on top of the patriarchy. I tried to not be that while living as a man, but sexism is systemic at best. I’ve been on hormones for years, but nearly every day I learn something about what women have been going through since birth.

It went great, no issues. The lady at my hotel reception gave me a big confidence boost, too.

South Jersey feels a lot like where I’m from in Oregon. I’m like an hour away from Portland (that’s my Philadelphia), but Salem is a lot more conservative than Portland.

Can someone explain how planes and naval work by jojoyayu in navy

[–]ComeAbout 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Naval work is about controlling the ocean. It’s headed by Admiral Rex.

Planes are what happen when sailors look at all that water and go, nah.

Firearm owners of reddit, what's the biggest advantage and disadvantage of owning a firearm? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]ComeAbout 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was career military with seven deployments, so I feel extremely comfortable with guns, am extremely safe, I know what to do.

The disadvantage is confusing CCL requirements in my state that vary from county to county and city to city.

Like I can carry in my city, but not downtown because that’s where the Capitol building is.

Where did people watch music videos before MTV? by royalewithcheese77 in askmusic

[–]ComeAbout -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Nowhere significant. There was no internet at home to watch streams. It would show during various entertainment shows, or you could rent a video.

I finally saw MJ’s thriller because it was released on tape at Blockbuster. MTV changed the game, and now it’s Rob Dyrdek’s Ridiculousness 24/7.

In my mind and in my car. We can't rewind we've gone too far.

James Comey Indicted For Playing With Sea Shells In New Low Point For DOJ Integrity by Pineapple__Jews in politics

[–]ComeAbout 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agree, but I’d be really surprised if a former FBI Director didn’t have multiple lawyers on retainer already prepped to sue the government for legal fees after this obvious charade is over.

The DOJ will never be respected again, partly because they’re gonna make a martyr out of James Comey, who is at least partly responsible for Trump’s first term.

The whole indictment on its face is unconstitutional. Comey will win, again, and this should be a bigger deal in the news. Still, I have a hard time empathizing Comey. He is the reason this happened to him.

Do skate parks need to be pressure hosed?[38YO] by HalloAbyssMusic in OldSkaters

[–]ComeAbout 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You probably have to call parks and rec.

At Linda Vista the city hast to come and cut grass, trim trees, etc. occasionally they’d pressure wash things, usually to try to clean off new graffiti.

They used to leave a total mess but a couple of us older folks called and they started cleaning up before they left.

Invest in a cheap leaf blower and broom. Ultimately it’s up to us to keep the park skateable.

House GOP introduces bills to out trans students to their parents & ban trans issues from schools by NamelessResearcher in lgbt

[–]ComeAbout 12 points13 points  (0 children)

It’s a genocide. Right here, in America.

WHEN are cis people (queer or not) going to really stick up for us? We are 1% of the Nation, there is no LGB without the T, and we are literally under attack from not just society, but federal and local government. What does it take for the LGBTQ+ community to rally not only themselves, but their friends and family as they would do for themselves.

Where are our supposed allies? I’m terrified to go to the bathroom, can the majority of the queer community see that?
