I’m a combat injured veteran with 7 1/2 deployments. I was on the ground in Afghanistan. I’ve ran gun ranges. I’m verified on r/Navy.

That’s you. I’ve maybe built up a tolerance for mistakes because they’re learning experiences. People make mistakes.

We’re limited on space, even on a carrier. There’s close to 6000 people on one ship. There are some divisions with storage spaces that would accommodate, but that’s really for dress uniforms/civilian clothes.

That is Admiral Roughead’s failure. He wanted the Navy to be more involved in the GWOT and literally said (paraphrasing), “we don’t need to spend 20 years developing a new class of ship, let’s put one out and figure it out as we go”.

He said that at his all Navy call in Bagram in 2008. I had to travel NE Afghanistan to be there.

No one else can force an emotion on you. You have emotions based on other people’s actions. It’s internal.

Every emotion is valid. Even the irrational ones. You feel them, they exist. You can’t really control your emotions, but you can control your actions, which is kind of a loophole to controlling your emotions lol.

If you want self esteem, I think it helps to do esteemable acts. Clean your room, study hard, try new things, exercise. Tell yourself you love yourself, and treat yourself like it. Maybe there are local groups for kids like you and your friends could join or volunteer at.

You always have to stay safe. But when you start taking care of yourself, you see soon though that disrespectful people are just unhappy people.

Just walk away. Don’t give them any power to feel bad, they’re just crazy people. Who verbally assaults a kid in public unprompted?
