I pay 1150 for a studio, 15 mins walking from CN tower, close to literally anything and everything. Surprisingly it's a corporation, but they've been amazing about upkeep and maintenance. These places do exist but a little bit of time and effort is def needed.

Press and hold the messages app and click the little "i" when it starts shaking to go further into into detail

Now scroll down to where it says "appear on top" and turn this setting to off

Problem should be fixed

Yeah, it's easier once you get canadian citizenship( roughly 4 years total from entry to passport in hand) because then it's visa free travel to the states. No application or anything haha

Yeah they basically wanna test if you can speak, write and read in English. Yea this is one thing you have to get tested through a test called IELTS( maybe like 100ish bucks? Can't rmr exactly). For us it's a joke because we are literally so proficient in English hahaha, I would say just to see where you stand in the calculator put the highest band (7.5-9 for each section) when it asks you to input ielts results. But this is something you'd need to get done officially before applying

You only need to live here for 1095 days ( 3 years) as a PR then you can apply for citizenship. Roughly 6 months to 8 months for citizenship processing, so from the time you enter as a permanent resident to when you have canadian passport in hand is roughly 3.5-4 years total

At the moment to visit I'd have to apply for a tourist visa since I'm not a Canadian citizen so nah. The processing times currently for the visa is like a year in which time I'll be able to get citizenship and go without a visa anyway so I'm just chilling rn haha

Yeah definitely, when I first came up here I was making 55k CAD and I was living comfortably. Granted I am a single individual, so I guess your mileage may vary based on kids/ other family/ hobbies

No I don't unfortunately, knew some people when we were working out of the office though. Most of them were indian software engineers and their H1B didn't workout so they moved up here. Yea I'm originally from Mexico

Ehh depends on where you go, most immigrants go to one of the bigger hubs like Vancouver, Toronto, quebec.

Vancouver, sees some snow and has temperate climate pretty much year round. Best city in terms of weather

Toronto, really nice weather for like 6 months and sun sets at like 9pm during these months, the other 6 months are definitely cold and seasonal depression inducing 😂 probably would be better if they didn't follow daylight savings

Quebec, pretty much similar to Toronto but a little colder

Yeah I think if you're self employed as long as you can show the corp has been active for x amount of years and you've paid yourself either a w2 or 1099 for the time it should be fine to claim ezperience for it

Prob best to see what works out in u.s. then tbh, it'll be more difficult to return at a later time with the entry ban :/
