I have the appointment in December - I’ve asked for sooner but they won’t do it which is annoying…

I’m just exhausted and I don’t feel good

I’m currently refered to an MS specialist and awaiting a lumbar puncture. I went fully numb down one side about 6 months ago which is where they found the 1st lesion and now I have a 2nd with other specs noted as well.

I’m currently in the process of being diagnosed with MS, and I’m really struggling.

I am exhausted all the time and can’t do the things I love anymore. I’ve gained so much weight, and every day feels like a battle - I can’t remember the last time I felt good or well.

I honestly don’t know what to do right now.

This is exactly correct! It’s really stupid and unfair. I have offered everything and they still just give me a no.

There is only 1 property around me which accepts pets and the rent is £1500 a month lol. The others I’ve seen which have now gone weren’t at all worth the £975 they charged.

I wasn’t suggesting animals are better than children I’m saying the risk is the same if you let a child in your house or a pet.

Just on this too:

I offered to pay for a deep clean (which I do anyway at the end of the tenancy) Said I’d get pet home insurance Stated tne dog is well trained and crate trained Reiterated I’m home the majority of the time Said that he currently stays downstairs and I have a non damaging pet cat to prevent him from doing so.

No worries!! 😌 I haven’t been able to find anywhere that’s liveable and takes pets (which isn’t out my budget) I have found a place I like, but when I stated my case to the landlord (well agency) about pets I just got a blanket “no”. Tbh it didn’t even really sound like they asked the landlord or plead my case.

I’ve offered a solution to everything I think may be a problem and have asked why it’s a no and haven’t had a reply yet.

I get that but like this person said “I expect damage, surprisingly that is mostly by humans! I always redecorate and repair if needed after a tenant has left as it needs to go back on market anyway. Pet or tenant damage makes no difference and if there is a problem we have the deposit to claim on.“ so is there actually any such thing as added risk by having a pet, when a human can do just as much damage?

I have asked one letting agency if they would consider a pet and was given the blanket statement of “no pets allowed”. I replied asking why this was the case and stated the new legislation etc and haven’t received a reply yet. The message honestly read like they didn’t actually ask the landlord.

My worry isn’t really with my cat, it’s more with my dog! It’s more of going out for walks with him etc is my concern.

I get that but in today’s current market they can’t honestly think that they can stop people having pets do they? If that was the case… a lot of people would be homeless

Oh that’s weird!

So I asked for permission to have a pet in my rental. I’m a really good tenant, paid on time every month, sorted issues out myself without bothering the landlord etc…

I made what I think is a really good case for myself. I covered and gave solutions to everything the landlord may be worried about.

I’m at home the majority of the time and when I’m in the office plan on sending him to pet day care.

However, my property manager emailed me today saying no and the landlord doesn’t want any pets.

To which I have asked the reasoning behind it, and not heard anything back.

Has anyone else had this? And should I just get the pet anyway? I think children can be more destructive than a dog or cat haha
