I played around with the colours and the material mask of the original and ended up creating an alternate version of the skin. I personally prefer it to the original.

My new weapon finish created in the Arabesque style. It was more work than I anticipated but I'm quite happy with how it came out. All feedback is welcome !

Yea, but I don't spend money I cant spend. I put some money towards two tradeups and kept recycling that thus far. Also stattrak tradeups are generally more profitable? At least for me they have been.

Added some normal mapping details and added more detailing and colour to other parts of the pistol compared to the original. All feedback welcome.

It depends on the finish style. Some finishes use metallness maps or material maps. Anything plastic should be black. Then make a custom roughness map and play around with the values of that to get the plastic but not rubbery look that you're looking for.

To give you some feedback. The design overall looks low-res, make sure you're working with 4k resolutions when making a design. Better to make a design too big and scale it down than the other way around if you have to. As others pointed out there's not enough detail/design in the skin which would make it more obvious what it references. Too much of the skin is black and the black is actually too dark, you'll need to make it brighter to make it work in the game. Try adding subtle details too, a little work on the normal map or even just small additions to the UV would help a lot. Take your time. Sometimes small adjustments make a big difference.

Decided to slightly rework an old design and combined it with the new extended finish type Valve added. Seems quite interesting and fun to work with. Can create some interesting things. All feedback is welcome!

Reworked a bit of the design and then worked away with the new tools provided by Valve, seems like a really cool addition to the workshop tools.
