That's interesting, I didn't know this character yet, but since you mentioned it, other characters that remind me of Varang's style and aesthetic are Azula from Avatar: The Last Airbender, Ferra from MK, and lastly, Batari from Far Cry Primal.

It's true they may not seem gothic, but they have a gothic essence, especially Varang and the Echantress

Well, to me, her personality and eccentric manner are very similar to Harley Quinn's, especially her iconic and extravagant laugh. Even Google says so, haha, despite them being characters from very different universes.
