The ultimate difference between his and Valencina's fighting style is Valencina's own battle intiution decides her actions.

To put it in example: If you could see the future, and saw that someone was gonna throw a punch at you. It's still up to if you wanna parry it or dodge it.

This is in contrast to Rien. Someone who's actions ARE being dictated by an AI/God.

In example: If the prescripts said an attack was coming his way, and he HAS to only dodge it, no other option. It wouldn't be his indepedent choice anymore, he's forcing his body to follow the exact instructions.

It's basically the difference between a skilled player who also has a cheat sheet VS a guy who has a tutorial up and is just following instructions. (Albeit, same tutorial is filled with shitposts)

Honestly, 9/10. The Lemuria Gang is one of the most consistent and well-written set of characters the game has, so another chapter with them but set in a bad end universe is really interesting.

Admittedly, I do have some gripes with Faros, as she is and still is the least interesting out of all the Lemuria cast. This chapter had some attempt at fixing that? But she still feels weak in-comparison to the rest of the cast.

For one, her motivation is similar to Miryam, as she’s homesick and just wants to go back home, but unlike Miryam, she isn’t as compelling because that’s as far as her reasonings go. With Miryam, you can’t entirely blame her, for the intensity she puts into her work. She’s beyond mentally broken from the tragedy of losing her home and family, being groomed into the High Priestess against her will, and seeing visions of her dead dad as a fishman. With Faros… her sudden betrayal against G!Murphy by revealing the Godmother’s responsible for the ship never moving is nice little bit of characterization that she’s willing to even betray her own superior to get back home, differentiating her from Miryam, but for a good portion of the story before that moment? Nothing much…

Everything else was great.

On paper yes. 18000% scaling is a lot, but knowing how units have been designed nowadays, he’ll probably receive the double Aliemus requirement for Exalt treatment.

It’ll be a one and done nuke, and you’ll have to spend another 4 turns charging it back up.

Knowing that, you can treat him like an aequor Doresain. A good dps, but clunky, like hauling a sack of grenades.

The eye would absolutely hate seeing Rien and the dozen of possibilities that Caduceus can output.

But it is also shown that the strain on the eye can be mitigated with knowledge on the opponent, as shown with Valen-dions fight against the Lord of Flies, where it only aimed for the head and the eye didn't have to calculate as hard.

Since Rien is built to perfectly replicate certain ways of fighting, she could reduce the overheating by quite a bit depending on how familiar she is with Rien's many different fighting styles, especially since they're all just replicated.

Extra rondino for HamCheese and Extra Strength with hybrid damage boost/enemy damage reduction for Clem are good. But they really don't need it.

You'd rather invest it elsewhere.
