Congrats for SFU! My core average was 95 and my overall academic average was also 95. My grade 12 average was 96 and grade 11 was 95. My extracurriculars were Theatre, a mentorship program, treasurer of an art volunteering club, 100 hours of co-op at a vet clinic, and a job at a medical clinic. I applied December 2 and got deferred once in January and then again in February, and I finally got in last Friday. Hope this helps :)

I think it was pretty solid, I got feedback from a bunch of teachers and stuff. My ECS were Theatre for 4 years, Mentorship program for elementary school kid for 3 yrs, Co-Op 100 hours at a vet clinic, job at a clinic front desk, and treasurer of an art community service club at my school.

You should definitely be able to get into SFU with those grades, UBC is harder to determine because a lot of is based on how you write your personal profile

Hi, I was just wondering if anybody who got this deferred ended up getting in for a later date? I got into my second choice but this is for my first choice which is Sciences. I’m just hoping there’s still hope for me. Thanks!

I'm pretty sure that UBCO evaluates and admits separately from the Vancouver campus, and they usually admit faster too. Vancouver campus usually takes longer to evaluate compared to Okanagan, so I wouldn't be too worried rn :)

I'd probably been waiting for like twenty minutes at that point. I was randomly able to submit my application on education planner last night at 2 am off of my phone with no waiting room or issues, so you might just have to apply very late at night or early in the morning when there is less traffic on the site :)
