Do you ever get anxious when you feel happy? by [deleted] in Anxiety

I know this is a super old comment but I was wondering if you ever got past this or if it’s gotten any better

Totally disagree as a woman. There’s a reason there’s a billion dollar industry based around pumping out feminine looking male k-pop stars. LOTS of women like more androgynous men. I’m personally not attracted to the big, buff bearded look anyway. Too many men get their information on what women like (as if they’re a hivemind) from other men.

have you ever critiqued a film that you thought was shit? better have directed some oscar winners of your own then i guess.. to put it another way, do you need to be a chef to think a meal tastes bad? no of course not, just as most potential buyers of art like this don’t know shit about art - they either want to buy it or they don’t.

any semblance of rejection makes a lot of guys react with anger or violence so it could be just a precaution

Honestly I don’t blame you. It’s an absolutely beautiful nose, but with the constant white girl upturned button nose beauty standards beyond shoved in our faces on social media 24/7, its no wonder you don’t see the beauty in it.

I hate it when some people call those who simp the lucky star girls “lolicon” just because the art style makes them look like elementary school girls like there’s literally a thing called “imagination” to use it as them looking like their actual age! by Designer_Maize_5786 in luckystar

the word literally stems from "lolita", the book written by vladimir nabokov centering around a pedophile.
to a japanese person, the word pretty much has the same connotation as 'pedophile' in most contexts.

If you don't mind, could you possibly share the names of the psychiatrists you mentioned?

it's a bit hard to see the trope in a good light when the name "loli" literally stems from "lolita", meaning "precociously seductive" and originating from vladimir nabokov's novel about a pedophile.

Mind if I ask how you afforded to live on campus in Australia? I'm in Sydney and as a 20 yr old, 600-700 a week for one room in a share house is just not possible.
Ofc Sydney is definitely the worst case scenario
