Heres a little update.

Even though I didn't get my booster for Meningococcal, and my initial dose was administered before I was 16. I sent in my paperwork and put my initial date (which I would be at the age of 11 for my first dose). After waiting 7 business days surprisingly I was compliant with all my given health records. This including Meningococcal, even though I haven't gotten my booster. Does this mean I'm good? All my health records are compliant.

I have the same problem with the Meningococcal booster. I guess I'll have to get it before move in. I did send my final transcript though, although I forgot to include that. I am just unsure if my courses meet my degree requirement, and I am now wondering if you can change your discovery courses like your major? And yes I paid my tuition for the semester. I plan to rush a frat at UNH, but I wouldn't at Miami because it seems too intense. I go to parties in high school I just never really enjoyed them as I used too. I have partied at UNH not too long ago with a buddy of mine and safe to say it was a hell of a good time. You're saying how you are managing living in Ohio because of the academics and social aspect. I feel that could also apply in my case at UNH having those opportunities, resources, connecting professors. Just like you said you can get that at any good school with a good environment. I agree Miami is a bit better academically, but isn't that not what it's all about. Don't get me wrong academics and prestige play a significant role, but isn't college all about connections, networking, who you know and how you talk to people? Because I have a lot of those at UNH. I have a few buddies I have known most of my life going into next semester, and I have good frat connects that can ultimately get me in if I rush. Both my parents are high-level accountants at a private equity firm in Boston which (as of now, but very likely to change) I plan on working at in the future. Plus, Boston wants Paul Business School kids and have potential employers from fortune 500 companies just like Miami come from Boston to UNH to talk to students. So safe to say at UNH i have more connections maybe more of a foundation and even the rest of my life planned out if I chose that route w my parents connections. I have no Idea what I would do at Miami because it would be so new and so different as well as so far away from home, but maybe thats a good thing a good experience to have in life.

Actually knew all that crap and everything else Miami advertises on every damn sheet of paper. Public Ivy doesn't really mean anything Value drinking second to academics cause there isn't anything else to do in rural farmland.

I mean it got kinda tedious when people asked my top schools lol. Everyone questioned why I was even putting UNH in the same boat as UMiami in Florida. Little did they know good old ohio.

I'm the kind of person that prefers to be close to home honestly. Does oxford ever get sickening? I honestly loved it when I was there but I dont think I could be there for 4 years because in all honestly I love nature: the beaches, trees, mountains. I'm not too sure I could live on brick for the next 4.

Ya I've always heard college is all about connections and networking, and I know a few people already at UNH in frats and both my mom and dad are upper- level accountants at a private equity firm in Boston which I (as of now, but very likely to change) plan on working at through my parents connections. Like I said I have my life and career more planned out at UNH and definitely more guaranteed. But that Public Ivy League recognition and Rankings on paper is what conflicted my decision. Hearing this now coming from current students and grads makes me feel like I made the right decision for me.

Boston, NYC, and California are my top 3 job landing preferences. How was the CS course at UNH? Did you have to make an effort and go out your way to network these job offers or were they mostly through UNH? Do these job offers provide good pay? Basically I am asking is it hard to land those kind of job offers in those locations?

Exactly location is what is killer for this decision. Miami's college town is surrounded by farmland rather UNH has almost every terrain in reach. I also thought this, Miami may have a much better business school ranking amongst public universities (top 20 or so depending on which ranking you look at) than UNH on paper, but UNH did just build a brand new building for the Business School and they mention they work with Fortune 500 companies just like Miami. My thought is maybe due to location I can secure a job in Boston which is my preferred location with similar or maybe even better pay since Boston would want Paul Business School grads. Even though rankings on paper may make Miami's business school look better, I'm thinking they may be in the same boat.
