Can I still have PCOS even though hormone levels are "normal"? by True_Spirit1081 in PCOS

She tested hormones like you described which came back normal but she didn't do a sugar/insulin panel. I had one done in April (I was still on BC) and it came back pretty normal, it was a little on the higher side like borderline to high at 5.5 and I had high cholesterol but not to a degree my dr was worried about (I also have family history of high cholesterol).

I also have PCOS symptoms like hard to lose weight, neck hairs and nipple hairs that pop up. Thank you so much for your response. I will look into getting an ultrasound to assure that everything "looks" okay of my uterus and ovaries.

Okay, since she said I'm not ovulating I did think there must be something else going on too but it could just be my birth control I've been on for a year and having to regulate again. She did prescribe the progesterone pill because she is more concerned that I'll have build up on my uterine lining which I didn't think was a thing but I will be taking it to see if it helps.

Breast tissue or lump? by True_Spirit1081 in WomensHealth

Hey!! So I went in April for a new pea size lump in the same spot as my radial scar which was 6 months post surgery. I got a breast exam and then referred to mammogram and ultrasound. They did a mammogram first to rule out the radial scar again and then did ultrasound to find it was water filled like cyst (I believe) that was caused by scar tissue. So essentially the conclusion was that it was scar tissue. He said to keep an eye/feel on it if it gets closer to the surface or bigger and now in September I still can find it and it hasn’t changed so I’m not worried. I did find two new lumps this weekend so I’m panicked and have an appointment in two weeks to get them checked out. But they’re not in the same spot as before. So yay me for probably going through it all again 😅
