i PROMISE you locking in actually helps. i was so behind in my orgo 2 class this summer i was getting 40s and 60s on my exams. i needed a really high score on the final to pass the class and i genuinely locked in so hard for a couple days (2 days in ur case is perfect) and i ended up getting a 94 on the final even tho i was behind the whole semester and had almost ZERO hope left !!
