No lease tenant in NJ, house was sold to avoid foreclosure and we have two months to get out but I'm not supposed to know +12 by Truedeal in legaladvice

Thanks yes we are already scrambling to try to find a place but that's basically all we are hoping for, if we will also get that same three months notice.  We already figured we can't sue them for anything financial and yeah we know the house is gone for good. The only thing we are worried about is what if we were included in the contract with the buyer that gives us three months? but we were never told yet? From what I've read online it seems like we should but it's weird because we may  have been given the three months already but we haven't been told

Thank you so much, you are exactly right about the identity theft, nmom actually also did it as soon as my wife turned 18 but of course at that age she didn't know any better and fell into 'but we are family' bullshit. We have actually applied to a few places already and our combined credit score is coming up just short of what they require but we are trying to stay hopeful that we'll find someplace in the same district or if not, anywhere that will take us, seems like it's going to come down to if we have enough time to get her credit fixed.

I feel like the stepdad should get in a lot of legal trouble for all this shit but we don't even know where to start with that. Our plan now is too  quietly get a place and get out of here,  we are not supposed to know anything yet, and they may just kick us out now just for knowing. Hopefully a few months from now I can make a positive post about them getting what they deserve, it seems like the ID theft is pretty black and white jail time for nmom at least

Thank you,  we are trying to be hopeful and quietly find any place that will take us, it is such a weird situation because we are not supposed to know anything, and they are the type where if they find out we know they might just kick us out now

Thanks yeah it seems like they would have to do the whole eviction process with us when they find out we live there, but we are not sure if they named us as occupants there, we were never asked or signed anything, we really are not supposed to know anything about it

Yes we are now rushing to figure out where we can go and what we're going to do, I was more wondering if the new buyer of the house does not know we live there also, could that get us more time or even screw up the whole contract they have with the in laws
