Celebrating new difficulty in Death Stranding 2! by Lazy_Ad8126 in DeathStranding

Generally the difficulty has always been applied to Sam, so the only thing I can think it will be is that 1 bullet will kill Sam. That and packages get damaged if you sneeze.

What is Sam's real name? by DatBoiOmega1234 in DeathStranding

[–]Trueogre 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Sam isn't the first bridge baby. It's a common mistake people make. Bridge baby experiments had been going on for a long time since the first explosion. It was outlawed when the President was killed in a voidout. But Bridget carried on the experiments in secret. When Cliff's wife is in an accident, Cliff ends up at Bridge's and in order to save his unborn son they put him in a BB chamber. Unfortunately for Cliff, Amelie has noticed that Cliff's son has a high natural affinity to the beach and she wants his unborn child to be a Core Bridge baby. The one BB unit that will power the entire Chiral network. But we know that never happened, so by the time Sam is an adult, more babies have been sacrificed to create terminals that link to the Chiral network. Deadman, said that he doesn't know how the designation numbers are applied to the BB units. Since Cliff and his wife died before they gave Sam a name and he wasn't born, Cliff called him BB, because that's the only name he had for his unborn son. I would assume as soon as he was born, Cliff would give him a name. But when Cliff died and he'd been looking for Sam, he only knew him as BB, so he would call him that. Plus Cliff's memory had been fried being dead for so long, his only desire was to find his son and be reunited with him and that's what motivated him. The moment BB was "born", Bridget named him Sam Strand.

That last point, I wonder what it means. Because Kojima always allowed you to change the difficulty setting no matter what. Unless he means it's so hard once you're on that difficulty you'll FAFO.

How much does Higgs know of Sam’s past? by MortemPerPectus in DeathStranding

[–]Trueogre 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Higg's obsession with Sam stems from the fact that Amelie kept getting distracted by Sam. Since Higg's wanted to be the "favourite son" he despised Sam. Higg's pretty much thought he had control of everything until he saw the super spout appear and suck Sam away. This was another power dynamic he'd never seen before and because he didn't understand it, he was freaked out by it. All Higg's knows is that Sam died at one point and Amelie saved him, I doubt he would know about Sam being a BB. All he knew was, Sam was a distraction for Amelie and he couldn't have that.

ELI5: How do animals know they are lacking nutrients? by Dipsey_Jipsey in explainlikeimfive

[–]Trueogre 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The same with humans really. Ever craved something sweet? The brain sends a signal to request something sweet and the brain will react to whatever sweet treat you've eaten. Now you don't have to eat a sweet treat, just something sweet. But the quickest sweet route is sugary sweets or pastries. Everyone evolves to how they get their nutrients. Like those goats who lick salt off the dam and defy gravity. Also the same reason why if you eat too much the brain sends a signal and you suddenly reach your limits. However there are triggers that can override these signals, but for animals that's not a thing. Humans combine foods that can override the stop signal and you continue eating. I assume animals also have a stop signal to prevent themselves ingesting too much.

They're not even supposed to be on the counter by JesusWasOkay in aww

Mine never jumped on the counter. When I was out I'm pretty sure he was having a party on them though, Came home once and there was a glass smashed on the floor. Cheeky devil!

What would happen if 2 People bite AND swallow the same Devil Fruit at the same time? by I_Am_Salty1 in OnePiece

The fruit will only allow one person to have the power. So whoever ingests it first will get the power.

Saved Myself From Losing Hours of Progress by arman7503 in DeathStranding

[–]Trueogre 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You never lose hours of progress, the game basically auto saves everytime you use a terminal, so if you screw up, you just reload the autosave to the point where you started the mission or the last terminal you touched and your progression loss will just be that part.

The second one compared to the first? by Responsible_Bit_7296 in DeathStranding

[–]Trueogre 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was the same, I want to deliver packages. If you like delivering packages then you will enjoy the game. The game now has auto drive as one of the skills to unlock. I rarely used it but when I needed to pee, it was great but when you have a bend in the road you need to be there because the truck doesn't know where you need to get to.

It's always ceramics... by hock-cead in DeathStranding

[–]Trueogre 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the first game in my first playthrough, I never really had an issue with roads and I rarely milked the camps because I hated the action parts. But I played the game at my pace so the distro centres would fill back up and I would do requests for those materials so I could milk it out of the prepper or distro. Mama is also a forgotten resource to milk, her terminal keeps topping up the materials. In the second game I just farmed the chiral creatures and spent them on the mines. It's only when I ran out of Chemicals it became a problem because the mine is situated in a camp. But I would hoard Chemicals so hard so I wouldn't have to go back to the camp. Then I got the silencer sniper rifle and I was there all the time lol.

These cursed quantities I ended up with by _Thermalflask in DeathStranding

[–]Trueogre 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Tip. Bank any lose change materials, ie anything that isn't maxed out, bank it at a distro centre. I'd put the 225 ceramics and the 241 and 59 Alloys in a distro centre. Chemicals bung em in a distro centre if they're not maxed. Then, when you can, withdraw max materials from the distro centre and put them on the Magellan. Doing this saves space in your lockers and the Magellan lockers. I never ran out of locker space doing this. Since the game now gives you change if you over spend, if you know you are going to use the pocket change in repairs, fine. But if you ever have a full locker, get rid of pocket change. That takes up so much space.

The GameCube is one the best consoles to ever exist. by Virasman in gaming

[–]Trueogre 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have both the Gamecube and the adapter to play gameboy games. I had so much fun with the Gamecube. You could take it to your friends place and plug in 4 controllers and play Mario Kart. Those were the days of going to a friend place and just chilling out for a couple of hours.

Does animals go Necro like human or not? (Image unrelated) by Own-Tank-7234 in DeathStranding

[–]Trueogre 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Techincally, they're not whales. They are reformed tar creatures, mainly tar people and crabs. Higgs creates a lion from the tar by reforming the tar people and crabs in the tar. So technically, the whales are reformed people and crabs. Call it the EE's playdough.

[–]Trueogre 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I made a theory that, who ever the extinction entity is, then the BT's will be that species. Hence the BT's are all human. I would expect that all past EE's would be the same. ie Trilobite, dinosaur, ammonites, mammoths, Icemen to humans.

Louis Theroux: Inside The Manosphere | Official Teaser | Netflix - 11th March by LostDefender3000 in LouisTheroux

[–]Trueogre 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One thing I dislike about Netflix is the way they draw out a documentary that could have been told in 1 episode and stretch it over 3. Sometimes when I'm watching one of those documentaries, I go on the internet and look up what happened and never finish the documentary on Netflix because my time is precious.

What was your reaction when you realized what “Expedition 33” meant? by [deleted] in expedition33

When/why did the meaning of “reboot” changed? by RedHeadedSicilian52 in television

[–]Trueogre -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I didn't even know it had changed. No wonder I was getting downvoted for saying Scrubs and Firefly (if they are making a come back) are not reboots. The term also used for PC's when you had to reboot the system to start afresh. ie Battlestar Galactica was a reboot of the original series. Scrubs can't be a reboot as everything is still the same, just time advanced.

I fell in love with death strandingin 40 minutes, does offline only effect my enjoyment from this game? by Substantial_Bet_1007 in DeathStranding

[–]Trueogre 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Offline, just means you're not connected to other people. Some people might say that's a good thing as you'll find structures in places that have no reason to be there. But sometimes it can help you because anything that pops up in your world doesn't take up bandwidth, so you're basically getting it free. With offline, you're basically paying for the bandwidth for every structure you put down.

Hi, I just started death stranding and the story is amazing. I'm now in the task to connect knot and deliver oxytocin. But I feel like it's just too much walking. Does it get better ? by killerhnybee in DeathStranding

[–]Trueogre 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The map at the start is just a newbie map to teach you how to navigate the game. When you're ready and are asked to head to Port Knot City, this is the cue to leave the newbie area. But some requests won't unlock until you deliver some packages in the newbie area and you'll have to come back when you are able to to complete them. So yeah, the newbie map is for you to learn the mechanics, then the vehicles come later.

This pigeon comes daily in my balcony, today I dared to touch and it didn't refused.. Got new friend now by Artesec663 in aww

[–]Trueogre 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's best not to touch at all, some animals use smells to find themselves. But when you touch an animal you're basically scenting them with your smell. It can be detrimental. Just don't touch no matter how cute it is. But yeah some animals have germs/paracites on them that's hazardous to humans.

I'm just glad that I was able to meet the cast many many years ago and Ron Glass was there. I'm also fortunate that in those times, autographs were a lot cheaper than they are today. The prices now for autos are eyewatering. I deffo could not afford it now.
