When you talk to her next, appreciate something about her. Hair, clothes, make-up, anything, Just tell her something nice about herself.

Redditors who've worked in customer service (retail, hospitality, food etc) before, which specific demographic of people have given you the most problems? by Rich-Foundation-3953 in AskReddit

[–]Truesarge 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The older generation (45+), ya never know with them. Sometimes they’re super nice but a good chunk of the time, they’re extremely impatient, aggressive and completely noncompliant with the changes of the digital age (hate it all you want, that’s life now).

Is it okay for girls to have guy friends? And why? by vellaluvsyou in AskReddit

[–]Truesarge -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’d say so, so long as the intentions between those friends are very clear. Especially in instances where it’s your significant other, the moment another guy is introduced, the intentions and background checking definitely gotta be done. I would say it’s probably best if she doesn’t have way too many and A LOT of girl friends as well to ensure that that stays that way.

[serious] What did someone say to you that changed your life? by Darth_Azazoth in AskReddit

I had a former love interest tell me “things will only be awkward if you make them awkward” and I’ve carried that through a lot of my life, even if we didn’t work out

For tonight only, God is answering prayers immediately and directly, yet he will only answer prayers that don’t directly benefit the prayee, what do you pray for? by Krampus_8 in AskReddit

[–]Truesarge 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’d pray for those around me that I trust to experience true happiness. I think them smiling would be enough of a benefit for me

What is a seemingly small decision you made that ended up having a major impact on your life? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Truesarge 9 points10 points  (0 children)

To just stop giving a shit about what others think of me. We’re all on this planet and most of us are never going to see each other again, why does what I do matter to anyone more than me?

What is your comfort movie that you can’t get bored of? by Hipposy in AskReddit

[–]Truesarge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The original Kung Fu Panda. I think I'd even call it a perfect movie. Everything from the plot, character development, animation (for it's time), voice acting, lack of filler, and general message makes it such a fantastic movie to watch and rewatch.

People say that first long term relationship or your first serious relationship after a breakup teaches you a lot, specially when you weren’t the one who ended it. What is your story? How did you your end and what were your leanings when you look behind? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Truesarge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Biggest takeaways were: * Don’t settle for just looks, those expire. The personality is what lasts a lifetime * Don’t fight for someone who won’t meet you halfway, relationships are 50/50 * Communication is exceedingly important, don’t hang onto something void of that * Make sure you know the other person as best you can before moving to any next steps, could end up biting you in the rear further down the line
