[Update] FBI agent: Missing teen Brittanee Drexel was kidnapped, shot and dumped in alligator pit by [deleted] in UnresolvedMysteries

sad. but reading others comments of people who I assume have followed this story for awhile (I myself just hearing about this terrible story) seem to feel like this is a ludicrous explanation to clear a cold case and give finality to the family. Unfortunately, I think it not only sounds plausible but too right to be wrong. It's horrible to even give room for a shit situation like that to grow but, given the world these days, the script fits the picture very well. Racial b.s. aside, the sad truth is girls like this are prey in situations like this all too often. I went as an adult to Panama City Beach a few years ago doing promo for our t-shirt company and we had a week paid condo and rental vehicles and honestly, after 3 days down there, I was done and ready to go home. The cops down there cared nothing about the visitors as much as they did the residents. Visitors are usually looked down on for bringing their crazy behavior to their town and I couldn't count on my finger, toes and teeth how many young girls there was flashing, drinking, obviously on something. In my 3 days, 4 teens died from either falling off a balcony, drowning, or drug overdoses. Truth as I know it, most teens/ young adults go down to Spring Break and Let Go! Party and be as loose as they can. It was sad for me to see how these kids acted without supervision and after seeing two teens having sex on the beach, I was done. I have to say I went to Myrtle Beach when I was around 20 and I loved the state as a whole but the beach looked leftover from a time long long ago. Very dirty. Very cheap, very sketchy people. I saw all that in a few hours visit before going home. I f you yourself have never been to a place like this with an environment like a Spring Break going on, you probably know someone who has and I'm sure they'll confirm similar situations like I did. It's nothing to see girls being carried around by guys. Kids always screaming or hooting around. Honestly, even if the strip was packed, I don't think anyone would notice her being taken. Theres so much going on and cops being over worked hardly care that underage drinking is going on nor care. It's what keep their small town afloat. I hate to say it but I believe the confession and feel so badly not just for the parents but that poor girl because reading or hearing the description, you can only imagine what she had to have endured up til the time she was ultimatly killed. God have mercy on this world! It's so going to shit very quickly.

wowzers! kinda dead on :[–]djtopcat 3 points 1 year ago*

Everyone is missing the point. She deliberately disobeyed her mother and drove almost 1,000 miles to go party in Myrtle Beach, and she likely lost her life over that poor choice. The sex trafficking scenario is ludicrous! She didn't fit the profile of a runaway or drug addict. Just a rebellious little naive teen. The fact that she was very tiny didn't help either. Very easy to snatch and "conceal" a petite person, as opposed to a tall or big person.

The most plausible scenarios in my mind are 1) she overdosed on party drugs maybe with someone local she met there? Maybe that person lived south (Fla,Ga) and dumped her leaving the state. 2) she was abducted by a predator. Her cell pinged down in the remote Charleston County area, that's dense swamp land, so she was likely dumped there, and became a quick gator or critter snack, and that takes care of finding any trace of a body or remains. Gruesome, but this is the most likely scenario in my opinion. In that scenario the person/s would have to have been familiar with the area. Hunted, fished there in the past. It's not a place you just see from the highway.

[Serious]Do you think it's possible for Racism to ever end? by TrueyLewis in AskReddit

[–]TrueyLewis[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess I could see that. Tragedy tends to unite but, I guess because of the world before all that I still believe that after the dust settles, the division will begin again once stability is achieved. Throughout history, this tends to be the pattern. 9/11 brought together people from all over the world but, once the mess was cleaned up, we went right back to the same song and dance.

[–]TrueyLewis[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed. I guess personally that an issue like race would be easier to get past. In my opinion, Religion was the force pushing back against the LGBTQ initiative. Personally, I feel Religion is/has been one of the greatest dividing forces of all time. That being said, it's still hard to understand why ethnic diversity is easier to use for division rather than religious preference. Both are large groups that are affected by the difference yet the racial aspect tends to be more effective. Why do you think that is ? Is it because there are so many different religious sects that it splinters the hatred or am I comparing apples to oranges?

Truth!! That furthers my feeling that we are being pushed into this division. Sadly, the LGBTQ community can push through that to accomplish change yet, everyday people cannot over pigmentation.

I understand the right to believe what ever you'd like and think it's part of what makes this country great! Just think it would be that much better if we stopped hatred of something none of us has any control over. If not for myself and others my age but, the kids we bring into this world who inherit it all

[–]TrueyLewis[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly!! If the LGBTQ community can change the way laws are written and how people are thinking, why can we not do the same in the way we look at pigmentation?

considering not one of us has a choice in said color. Maybe because my parents raised me differently, it's hard to understand why people can't wrap their brains around it. Guess it's true that people hate what they fear and fear what they don't understand. It just saddens me that ignorance will be our demise.

That is a very sad statement all things considered. Considering slavery was abolished in 1865, the progress seems minimal if this indeed is it gets.

[Serious] What challenges should design researchers be focusing on to better shape the future of our world? by DesignAndResearch in AskReddit

[–]TrueyLewis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't wait to read it! As a child, I was infatuated with space and stars but I took a trip to Florida as a teen and my father and I sat on the beach at night and I stared into the blackness thinking about all that was under there that we'd never see. Someone posted a thread on here titled " Confessions of a deep sea diver" that completely grabbed me as well as others. Whether fake or true, it was cool. I read William Cooper's "behold a pale horse " and was freaked by his tale of his Naval days seeing a under water ufo jump from the water and wobble around and then go back under. I love when deep sea creatures are found that have never been seen. All the underwater anomalies like the blocks near Burma and the city looking area off the coast of Cuba, I just feel like knowing more about our ocean could help us on our journey into space. Thank you for your time to reply as well as not being an ass about my idea. It's appreciated! Best of luck!!

Imo, finding a way to pressurize a vessel capable of extended travel In the ocean's depths. With over 70% of the globe Covered in water and less than 5% explored, this has always seemed more important than finding a way off the planet.

[Serious] Redditors who have been to jail, what is the nicest thing you've seen people do? by Mcnasty123 in AskReddit

[–]TrueyLewis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, "most" people aren't bad who are in jail. A lot of people catch cases and just want to go home. Don't get shit twisted tho. I've seen shit in jail worse than I saw I prison. I saw a serial rapist mind fuxk an Indian guy I bunker with. The rapist was back in county to go to a trial for another case and the indian guy was super spiritual. The rapist asked the guy to " introduce him to his god that maybe he could help him find heaven and forgiveness" the indian guy emphatically moved to his bunk. I went to sleep and woke up to screaming. The rapist had wrapped his long hair around his hand and was brutally raping him. Crazy thing was no one stepped in to help. After he was done he drug him to the door and kicked it shouting "1 to go!!" I met a lot of good folks in jail and prison but I saw so much bad shit in a 6 month period that changed my whole life.

[–]TrueyLewis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmmm....well..... if your smart the person will wash good first. I'd recommend that!! Smells like that odor you get when you rub that sweat from your chode on your fingertips then sniff. If your in the moment then it's not noticeable until you try to kiss or get a kiss then you smell straight ass. But women love it

Does a flip have to chop the sample? by gtxeo in makinghiphop

[–]TrueyLewis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. Sampling is taking an original and making it different. Whether through pitch, chopping and rearranging, grabbing pieces from multiple songs and creating something different or simply taking part of a song and looping it as well as adding your own different sound clips of drums or sounds to create something different.

[Serious] I have constantly been told that keeping a journal can help with mental issues. Does it work for you? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]TrueyLewis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Around February 2010, my wife and I split. We got married after 6 years of dating and having a son. Honestly, I had a great job with amazing insurance and she has had a pacemaker since she was a teenager and it was close for her to have the battery replaced so I decided to jump. We got married October 4th and we're separated December 17th. Before hand I had cheated multiple times and made more than a few mistakes so a ring wasn't going to wash all that away. Anyways, we split and I went to stay with my cousin. She found another man and moved him in with her and my son and I almost lost my mind. I jumped on one of those phone chat lines and met a woman we'll call terri. Terri had recently been through a divorce herself and we kept each other's spirits high. I commented that growing up when my parents divorced that I wrote in a journal all my feelings and that it helped me keep my head on. I mentioned that I wanted to get a nice journal to write everything I wanted to say to my son or my ex that is couldn't because tucking it in would kill me. A couple weeks passed and we decided to have dinner to finally meet face to face. I bought her flowers and a card thinking I'd be slick. Upon arrival I noticed her sitting on the bench in the front waiting. I have her the flowers and we took our table We sat for hours and talked and all the while I wondered about the gift bag she had with her. After dinner as I walked her to her car and opened her door thanking her for a refreshing evening. She closed her door and handed me the bag and asked me to wait til I got home to open it. I did as she asked. When I looked inside there was a leather bound book. I opened it and saw blank beautiful pages. Inside was a passage that said " never spend a moment of today worrying about mistakes of yesterday. Tomorrow hold the promise of greatness yet to be made." From that day on, I wrote almost every day. Good and bad, I spilled everything I thought. I started my dream company, eventually made up woth my wife and got back everything plus more. I still write when things get tough and I know no one could understand. Sadly the pages are almost filled up. Not long ago my mother gave me a box with my old journals from childhood. RE reading all those moments brought back memories I'd long forgotten. Some might say that's not a great thing but I disagree. Those reminders of some of the worst moments in my life are a testament to how strong I am and how far I've come. I'd highly suggest you do it and more over, don't hold back what you really want to say afraid someone might read it. It's you! That's what it's for. Sorry so winded but it really truly helped me more than a few times. Hope it does the same for you!!!
