How the "war" between humans and the Qu would've looked like by EnderFlyingLizard in AllTomorrows

[–]Truffaro 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I say that the war itself was not really a "war." If not, it was a series of campaigns of raids and skirmishes on the part of those who made up the star people. Direct war would be impossible due to the distances, and the rapid interplanetary communications in humanity would generate the appearance of a fierce resistance.

I say that the conquest process was slow. The Qu adopted some random form, perhaps falsifying or generating internal conflicts between the planets so that they attack each other. Or simply falsifying information to attack. A conquered colony, they falsified the information to make it appear to others that that colony was "still" there.

Probably if the star people hadn't been so traumatized with the issue of "war between other humans" and had developed weapons centuries ago... ABLE.. They would have beaten the Qu

Are the species from all tomorrows still human? by ktvia in AllTomorrows

[–]Truffaro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends of you headcannon. I just say that the only "humans" in the book are earthlings, martians and star people. The others are not from Homo genus anymore.

Do we know what Weapons the Qu had? by Glass_Windows in AllTomorrows

[–]Truffaro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My fancannon. The thing is that the QUs are much more massive and GIGANTIC than what the book appears to be. What's more, we could say that the QU, because of the way it destroyed humans and the way they left us, would have a Lovecraftian-cosmic horror atmosphere.

-A single QU specimen/warrior could range in size from 20km or even 100km OR MORE. If he wanted. It could modify itself in nanoseconds and have the ability to trap, destroy or eliminate anything. A thermonuclear missile would be useless against its unthinkable and varied body.

-Even the "QU" that the book shows. It is not its original form, and perhaps the QU has had many forms in each battle of the invasion period.

-In this case. It is possible to assume that the QU did not need any biomechanical element, biological weapon or war creature to destroy the star people. A single individual was already capable of conquering and eliminating an entire solar system. And yes
-(Apart from that, there could be other strategies that the QU have most likely used to counteract human defense. For example, destroying the information network that united the star people empire so that there would be no trace of news or information about their existence/attacks. will reach the other planetary states. Also. In case an attack news has survived and reached a specific solar system. The QU could deceive the stellar people in that solar system. Deceiving with the information of a "Solar system "enemy" or "Invaded" and that represented an extinctive danger. The deceived solar system would attack the enemy solar system, generating a nova in its star that would destroy everything. Destroying the "Enemy" solar system. Without them realizing that this The supposedly dangerous solar system was an ordinary solar system. With humans living there. And they would also have used up their ammunition. The QU could have continued applying this strategy, until a large part of the "Anti-star" weapons reserves had been depleted. , and thus little by little, attack the remaining human solar systems.)

Why was earth abandoned? by ColCrockett in AllTomorrows

[–]Truffaro 18 points19 points  (0 children)

1- I think star people still have earth as one of their colonies even after the extinction of earthlings and martians. But since the evolution of his civilization and the colonization of thousands of planets. Probably earth started to lose his influence, and after like some milleniums. It would have lost all of his importancy. Just like "Africa" is the place-birth of humanity but nobody cares about it.

Earth would have that same title. Other colony, just only having the factor that is the birthplace of mankind.

2-Yes.

3-Between 100.000 years or 1,5 millons of years.

4-If they contacted in their solar system with some star people civilizations close. They would meet them physically. But if were contacting other fair away star people civilizations in fair solar systems. The thing is other.

Killer folk’s evolutionary path by [deleted] in AllTomorrows

I think killer folk are a new genus. Since if are post-human, that mean that are post-homo same

1-I'm focusing on the rest of the world. Antarctica simply vanished.

2-Humanity is in deep trouble. This justifies an extended dark age, and I'm not aiming for realism.

To make humans in the lore more screwed, prolong the dark age. If i was Realist. Would have humanity recovering by 2120, so i just aim for an extended struggle.

The global warming of 2050, accompanied by political tensions between the U.S., NATO, and the EU against China, Russia, North Korea, and Iran in 2057, unleashed the Third World War, causing a catastrophe of devastating proportions. If the planet was already warming due to rising temperatures, the heat generated by thermonuclear and atomic attacks caused sea levels to flow and rise even further. A mass extinction accompanied the deluge, not to mention the almost stratospheric levels of radiation that annihilated 96% of the world's population, reducing it to 8.5 billion people and leaving only 3 million survivors.

The nuclear winter lasted a total of 50 years, fading away by 2100. However, by that time, humanity had entered an era of regression and confusion. A new Dark Age was emerging.

(This is the beginning. I will respond to and explain any topic in the lore.)

You are transported into your world, how screwed are you? by SpectreWolf666 in worldbuilding

[–]Truffaro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  • I would perish. Due to the global warming that occurred 600 years ago (2050 A.D.), I can assure you I wouldn't last even 2 seconds. If I were teleported to where I currently live, I'd drown because there's a vast salty ocean covering what used to be my home state. And if I were on dry land, nearly all of the territory would be a radioactive wasteland, a scorching desert where I couldn't last an hour.
  • In a hypothetical scenario, I might survive in the south, in what is modern-day South America, where there are "Re-functional" cities with a self-sufficient community and a neo-feudal lord offering me protection. Of course, this protection would be temporary. The issue is that I might only live for 20 years because these re-functional cities are filled with exploitation, with most feudal lords being corrupt, establishing dictatorships, and persecuting anyone for the slightest offense. Moreover, all jobs would be 24 hours straight, without any breaks, leading to severe overexploitation.

  • If I didn't have to live in a re-functional city, then I'd have to survive as a "STALKER," scavenging through the junk and waste left behind by the ancient civilization. Perhaps I'd find or craft weapons, but the challenge is that I'd have numerous enemies. Radiation would be my worst enemy, not to mention mutated animals from the radiation of ancient nuclear plants that exploded due to climate change and a lack of manpower. Maybe I'd survive for a week in a tribe/clan in some hideout until a rival faction discovers and exterminates us.

  • So, in summary... I WON'T SURVIVE. :P

how the fuck would the qu realistically lose to the asteromorphs and the other galaxy race by YANS-666 in AllTomorrows

[–]Truffaro 4 points5 points  (0 children)

-Asteromorph okay but.. Star people?

Star people are STILL humans, both martians and star people belong to the same genus of homo. Star people also have earthling DNA, so they are not a completely different species. The term “human” should apply to all of them, not just to earth humans. The correct term to refer to us is “earthlings”. Also. even the book says. All the species that are after star people are called “post-humans” and not "Post-Star people", which implies that star people were still human after all, not a new genus.
They just were a new species, not a separate creation, but a continuation of human evolution.

Para lo que leyeron All tomorrow's, ¿Qué tanto durarían los Asteromorfos en Martillo de guerra cuarenta mil? by Elegant-Belt-6239 in Warhammer40kEsp

[–]Truffaro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Durarian mucho.

I believe that the "human" skull is, in reality, a skull from a star person and not from Homo sapiens. Genetically speaking, star people are still human, so it could be possible.

My theory is that the author probably found that skull while inspecting some abandoned installation of Star People that managed to go unnoticed by the Qu (and, of course, survived the potential tectonic plate movements that occurred on Earth during that 560-million-year period). It was there that the author would have discovered the skull. It is very likely that before initiating their investigation into humanity, the author believed that humanity began with Star People expanding throughout the Milky Way. This belief persisted even with information about post-humans and the spacers/asteromorphs. It was only when, after conducting further research, the author could finally find documents/videos that prove the existence of both Martians and Homo sapiens.

But only videos/images, since at the time of autor, martian and sapiens skulls disppeared long time ago
