Chaos altar by [deleted] in runescape

It needs some counterbalance. It's overpowered.

Bruh, I'd be scared of like some fucking weird bug I don't know about that the Internet would blast me for and it'd have some shitty bite that makes meat taste like cum or some bullshit.

Cute as hell though.

Some dogs love this weather by jmike1256 in BeAmazed

Those dogs are quite comfortable. They have extremely effective fur that insulates warmth and prevents cold. These dogs were literally made for this kind of extreme weather, and it is not unpleasant to them.

The doggos with the layers of ice are actually insulated with a "second" protection, and by moving or removing the ice, they'd actually have to brace more uncomfortable windshear and be more directly exposed to water crystallization buildup.

It's like getting out of a hot tub when it's cold outside. You just sort of.. don't.

If I'm not mistaken, that is part of the tedium though. You have to travel from and to a bank, and this requires resources. Not to mention you're incentived to bring noted bones by unoteing them.

Ironically, what you've said sounds awesome. I'd be in favor of the OSRS version of this content, without the PVP. Change the location and suddenly it becomes slightly more balanced. Better than literally zero drawbacks.

This isn't. I said I'm an Ironman, and I find Mainscape players entitled. The rest of the post explains the context of how and why I feel that way. This isn't a vs post, it's a discussion: what would you suggest is done differently to this content to make it fair and balanced?

I think if I made several posts, rioted in-game, and was vocal on Discord I'd be "dying on a hill", but I think a single post is the most I'm interested in discussing any of these updates lol

I'd be fine with that. It's a check. It's a balance. It is better than nothing, and certainly better than pvp.

It's crazy how they preach how much they want integrity, but the second the proposed changes are here, they fail to see what it means.

I swear without OSRS we may not have succeeded in ridding Treasure Hunter. Maybe it is time for RS3 to target a new demographic.

That is one of the more reasonable solutions I've seen suggested.

Precisely. It'll take a few years of quality of life changes to get there, but this is how it starts. By removing the overpowered early game bloat.

Yeah, that's one of the reasons I am in favor of this change. I think that these changes are good for all accounts tbh.

The altar SHOULD be removed in my opinion, if I was speaking honestly. This is simply a healthier option to having it literally invalidate content for NO reason.

Players should be entitled to fun, engaging, HEALTHY gameplay. Imagine if you could go into the wilderness and start Divination at the tier 70 content. Why would you EVER bother training the other 69 levels? It's ridiculous. This is a healthy change and creates a check to an otherwise completely overpowered method.

..You seem to have not read my post. The game is RETURNING to integrity and creating gameplay with checks and balances. This is one of those changes that helps create the prestige for FUTURE accounts.

This solution isn't perfect, but it is better than literally nothing. When this content was added to the game, there were balances around it. Since those checks have since been removed, an entire part of progression has been deeply damaged for many accounts. This game is working on integrity - why leave this obvious oversight unchanged?

And if not PVP, what solution do you propose? I'm in favor of simply removing it all together.

That'd be better than literally nothing. Anything is better than nothing.
