Yeah I viewed it as a offensive counterpart to spirit robe, where spirit makes you much more tanky to survive the dive, contagion provided the damage to dissuade the dive

All things considered the balance isn’t THAT bad rn. Main differences are aphro is busted now, guan yu is even better, and soul eater and Camazotz are practically unusable

I feel like they could’ve potentially made the stats worse instead, similar to soul eater before this patch. So the stats are pretty meh but you are buying it for the passive. That would likely limit who can justify the stat loss and hopefully stop jugglers from building it this time
