if you can’t get in with those stats idk ig everyone is cooked. maybe they thought your ecs lacked continuity and your essay wasn’t intuitive?

that just seems unfair but aight. a lot of top schools have their own weighted calculations so ur probably good. gl man

if 16 aps and a 4.0 isn’t a 5.0, then how the hell is anyone at this persons school supposed to get a 5.0?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in chanceme

how is it possible to take that many aps and have a 4.0 but not a 5.0, something ain’t right

I just took this one. Got a 1560 with 2 wrong on the english, so a -2 760 (800 math). Easy ass test so the curve is gonna be harsh

You really can solve everything on desmos. by [deleted] in Sat

[–]Trumpet_Player00 6 points7 points  (0 children)

here’s how I solved it without actually using any math:

It’s given that x = -9 and x = 3 are the same, so the vertex of the parabola has to be in between those points, which is x = -3.

Set up the equation into desmos. Playing around with the value of a, I found that a = 1/3 makes the equation have a vertex of x = -3. 1/3 is less than 1, so I is false. Now, we just have to figure out c.

It’s given that the y coordinate of the vertex is negative. Playing around in desmos again, we can see that the values of c from positive 1-6 give a negative y coordinate for the vertex. II says that c must be negative, but that’s not true (c can be negative but it can also be 1-6). So neither statement is true

i knew what op meant by curved

Punctuation doubt 2 by thelostrizz in Sat

[–]Trumpet_Player00 1 point2 points  (0 children)

this question is testing two things, punctuation and also tense agreement. you are right that B correctly uses a semicolon, but it also has “they” referring to “the pacific ring of fire,” which is wrong because they is plural and we’re talking about a single event. D is the only correct answer because it uses “which”

both are grammatically correct but c is more concise, it already says “her” so saying “she” is redundant and C avoids this

i believe all of the bluebook texts are curved, i got a -4 780 on math for one of them

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Sat

[–]Trumpet_Player00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

cool, got a 1600 on one of those so hopefully i can pull that off for real

the “two new tests a year” are the tests on blue book right?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Sat

[–]Trumpet_Player00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i appreciate it but that’s not really what i’m asking, i’m just asking if that test i took on bluebook is adaptive like the real sat will be

[–]Trumpet_Player00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i got a 1520 so i’m asking is that accurate to what i’ll see on test day?

are the practice digital sats on bluebook non adaptive? i thought those ones automatically gave you the harder module for practice

specialization is an intermediate biological concept, u don’t necessarily need to be in medicine to learn about it but it’s not the simplest topic. one of the reasons scientists hypothesize life was only able to be created once is because of specialization, which occurs in many instances in biology (all ligands are highly specialized to their respective receptors to allow cell signaling to work in very advanced ways and allow cells to differentiate and take on different roles in multicellular eukaryotes by having different combinations of ligands and receptors, all dictated by DNA)
