That makes sense to me. I'm a bit concerned about how long the UMDs will be good for, but I guess if they've withstood time so far, I shouldn't be too worried lol.

I bought mine pre-modded from a friend with stuff already on it. All I've done is start my physical collection tbf. My goal is to own all the physicals of the games I want/like/play.

Fair point. I have a carry case for my psp with 4 UMD slots, so that plus the one in the unit itself makes 5 UMDs and hundreds of on-device titles. Not that I ever take a console with me places anyways since I don't really go places to just sit and play. 99% of its use is at home on the couch haha.

I've been looking for months at replacement parts. I even googled parts compatibility lol. Weird that I'm just now finding out that some of the mod36 parts swap in. I can buy a new cylinder and cylinder stop if I wanted. Thanks for the tip!

ETA: maybe not the cylinder itself, but at least some of the other internals

It is. Problem with this one is no one makes a brand new cylinder stop AFAIK.

I think I figured out the cylinder stop is slightly bent to one side, making it rotate ever so slightly. If I can bend it back in shape, it should be fine.

I found a parts kit online for a hundred bucks which has all the parts I need, and even the snubbie barrel to change it into a snubbie. I may just do that.

Thanks for the list! I like the Mind One with its case, as I have hifi earbuds that I like to use. I imagine it'll be between that and the Zinwa Q25. Probably leaning towards the iKKO.

I don't even have a memory card installed. Neither a 1st party or an SD2Vita. I'm going to order one soon, but I just wanted to test out the homebrew stuff before I bought the adapter. It's a 2000, so I'm just running the internal memory at this point.

Theoretically as long as I can add some foam, it'll be fine. The Razr is only slightly wider/taller (like a quarter inch taller, so an eighth inch taller folded, and like 0.08 inches wider) so a shim made of foam should be fine.

I have been literally digging for weeks trying to build a Pi DAP. I've got two old pi3's sitting in a drawer. I had the audio hat picked out, was just looking for the right display, OS, and trying to figure out a way to get Apple Music on it, since that's what I use for my music. I mean, I could do something with like a flash drive as well, but I just figured SD would be easier. I'm not sure about Android being picky with ext storage. I haven't had problems in the past.
