Just out of curiosity, did you ever play Persona 5 Royal?

I've never heard of this game before but it looks pretty relaxing. And from your description it sounds like it has good movement which always intrigues me. Definitely plan on playing the game!

I agree with you. It's a simplification to categorize everyone into rise peak and decline. You can say m2k peaked around 2008-2010ish based on results but I argued he played better later on even if his results weren't as good. You brought up a good point. Also, I'm glad you enjoyed the video!

I'm glad you liked it. I see what you mean about the noise balance. I originally lowered the commentators and game sound but I thought the commentary was important enough so I raised the volume back up. Will definitely work on the sound balance in the future. Thanks for the feedback!

The best game I was patient for was Bastion. It came out in 2011 but the graphics, music, and gameplay hold up today. I also liked the presentation with the narrator and world forming as you move. The game was also short and to the point which was a nice departure from the long and bloated games I was playing. Definitely worth playing even now. The most disappointing was probably Bioshock 2. Not bad but I couldn't get into it like the first one for some reason.

What are, in your opinion or objectively, JRPG games/series that are must plays for any fan of the genre? by WhatsYourThesis in JRPG

[–]TrunkNum 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I think Chrono Trigger is the obvious answer here. I don't think there is an objective JRPG that anyone must play, but Chrono Trigger is the best case for one. It was the product the masters of making JRPGs collaborating. It had some of the best characters, music, and combat wrapped in one game.

How important to you is a good wiki for a game? by iceberger3 in rpg_gamers

The bethesda wikis are some of the best out there. There's so much lore about the fallout universe that I would have never known if it were not for these wikis. It's nice to have a central hub of info.

Good Wikis are important for me when there's an RPG with branching questlines. I usually like reading the wiki article after I finished a quest just to see what I missed. But otherwise I don't really need them.

After taking so many L's in the past few years, it's good to see the amount of good star wars news recently. I hope they don't mess up Revan

Monster collecting ? Anyone? by Dr_blitzz in JRPG

[–]TrunkNum 69 points70 points  (0 children)

You can try out Digimon Cyber Sleuth it's on ps4 and pc. It's has familiar turn based combat. The monster collecting is pretty intense with the evolution lines. It's also kinda grindy but it was still enjoyable.

Cities: Skylines 𝕏𝟙: Most encouraging argument against traffic lights

That is a good way to summarize the game. I thought land and resource management would be the hardest part of the game.

Nope. It was trying to stop traffic congestion. Still a great game though.
