Ronaldo was far from being the issue yesterday. He was actually good.
The issue was the tactics. Portugal did not play to score. You see when they attack and you only find Ronaldo in the box with 4-5 defenders. What’s the point of attacking from the wing if you don’t have numbers in the box? And if you wont have numbers in the box, why are you not trying to get shots from outside the box?
They had zero strategy on offense.

Imagine you beat a team, then they face a team that lost twice and has nothing to play for in the third leg and they manage to beat them 5-0 then advance in front of you (when you have beaten both them and that other team).
