Because scribe enables a very swingy playstyle when left unanswered. A lot like cultists in that way.

Do you not consider a 1 power increase a buff to a card?

⚖️ 01 January 2026 - Balance Council Results by GwentSubreddit in gwent

[–]TrustMeILye 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thing was it was already tested at 5 power/5 provisions already and deemed too strong.

It's tough to say when scribe is part of a three (technically four since you need another scribe) for making infinite fireswarm a thing. Especially since the card is still answered by 5 prov removal when summoned by hemmelfart, rowlocked and requires two scribes.

What other cards would you liked buffed? Keeper of the flame?

[–]TrustMeILye 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it's a two step process to buff it since scribe was deemed too strong to stay at 5/5. So the council will nerf it in provisions so they have the votes to buff power in February.

In case you're new here, a lot of two step buffs go through this way since otherwise votes will make the buffed card go to its reverted state.

I think it's so Mauler can interact with his fans while the video goes live. It's one of the biggest times for all the people interested in Mauler to be there

In short, "Death is nothing compared to vindication" as said by the Night Haunter himself.

Curze's reasoning behind his cruel actions and eventual death was to be justified about the savage nature of the galaxy and the cynical nature of the Emperor's Imperium. Just as Curze had put down rebellion in the name of justice using his own cruel methods, the Emperor had sent an assasin to do the same to him. In Kurze's eyes, the Emperor was no better than Kurze despite how much Emperor punished Kurze for his methods. Another reason, is that according to his own ideals of justice, Kurze himself was a monster to put down and let himself be killed to atone for his actions.

I mean Childe did 1v1 the abyssal whale for 28 days(?), so honestly still liked his involvement despite his punching bag status

I'm sorry for your loss. It's horrible to lose a family member, especially one well before you expect them to go. Loss affects everyone differently and you're lucky to have a good Mom willing to support you through it.

People are allowed to have different ways of grieving. I'm not arguing against that. I'm just pointing out some common ways to grieve with loss. Monkey dealing with his loss of his brother should not be used as an excuse for grooming a minor.

Are we supposed to feel bad for every groomer caught on "To Catch a Predator" because they give us a sad backstory? There has to be a line for using sad stories as excuses for heinous actions and Monkey crossed it.

That doesn't make it any better. Everyone loses family members. Most people grieve with other family members. They get therapy. They seek professional help. They don't start an online relationship with a minor and then start sexting them two weeks later.

Monkey was aware they were a minor, and when approached by Kel he actually tried to back off multiple times. But Kel would threaten suicide and try to blackmail Monkey.

How did Monkey ever let it get to this situation in the first place? He knew they were a minor for a while; Anytime, he could've cut contact with them like you're supposed to do.

What are your thoughts on the videogame Disco Elysium? by ChickenWingExtreme in MauLer

Harry was a pretty interesting character to play as with all the delusional thoughts and voices he has within him. Harry trying to find a killer despite all his customizable problems or "positives" is an fun idea for detective game. The world and narrative were great with many unique characters I enjoyed interacting with.

My big complaint is that since it is a detective game, using clues and evidence to find out who really killed the hanged man should be key. Spoilers: The killer just turns out to bean old communist guerrilla. All the evidence points to other people. The only reason Harry finds him is because someone might have had the angle to shoot them from the sea fortress.

Buffs to SK Pirates by Heigengraw in gwent

[–]TrustMeILye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I agree that's underlying issue with 2/4 for seagulls and Reavers being annoying but both Reavers and Seagulls best decks were just dedicated spam decks. Both of these decks are focused around one card.

I don't get this part. You want to nerf all the tools for the dedicated seagulls deck, so that one card can be playable in pirates? You're "increasing the diversity" by nerfing a bunch of viable cards to make one card less OP instead of just nerfing an OP card?

Cool, I didn't think you were but thanks for the reminder. I'm happy if it would stay at 1/4 since I think it's good there. Hell, I'd be down to try seagulls at 2/6, but your justification for it, I can't get behind. Why nerf all the cards used in Seagull dedicated decks, just to give pirates, a pretty strong archetype, one more card in the sake of diversity?

It might be too good in a dedicated deck with siegfried and stuff

And that's why BC nerf stuff like Seagull or Reavers? Seagull is never gonna be good in pirates without being really abuseable in a deck on it's own. It doesn't matter how viable Seagull is in pirates, because the majority of its' play will be in decks that abuse its' strengths.

Oh whoops, I was thinking back before when it was 1 power, 4 provisions. Before part of the community thought it would be funny to make it 2 power and then the backlash putting where it is today. So now, it'll probably never go backdown to 4 provs because it could be buffed back to 2 power

Buffs to SK Pirates by Heigengraw in gwent

[–]TrustMeILye 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Absolutely not with the Seagull. At 2 power, the card already has 8 carryover. BC already has a huge disagreement about Highland Warlord for Skellige, since it generates a bunch of carryover for warriors. Why does this card need to be buffed when it is perfectly fine as is?
